  We’ll laugh at the Garfield cartoon, but self centeredness was never created by God.  In Ezekiel 13:17-19 God is now speaking to the women.  These ladies have joined with the men in following their own heart, their own self centered ways.  They used music to get their message across.  They sang with alacrity, displaying a lot of zeal in their songs. It’s worship of self.  When I asked a lot of people where was their security I received a lot of “self” answers.  Why is that so bad?  I think we know the answer to that.  Ever been around a person that self promoted himself?  It stinks.  We were created to love the Lord God.  Do I suffer from selfishness?  Sure, I think we all do.  That’s why Paul said, “We must die daily”.  The problem with the women is they didn’t want to die to “self”.  There are multitudes of people today that spend all their time building “self” only to see it crumble.  I’m going to build my relationship with Jesus Christ today.
