The world is full of deception. There are so many voices jockeying for first place in the race for your heart. I look around and I see so much vanity, so much emptiness - like clouds without rain over drought stricken land. In Ezekiel's day the Lord God was against these vain speakers. Why? Because they led the entire population away from the truth, away from the One that created them. The Lord God loves his people. He loves you. My prayer is that you don't listen to empty words that lead to barrenness. Listen to the truth that fulfills your every desire and gives you peace within. Eze 12:5-10

Eze 13:1-4 God is again speaking to the false prophets. Jesus came against the false teachings of his time. He gave permission to his disciplies to break some of the religious rules. Here's their false claims: Sent from God; Message from God. They were prophets from their own hearts. God called them foxes in the dessert. Cunning, sly and looking for prey. The bible tells us that in the last day people will want there ears tickled. I'm sickened when I see the people flocking in to see the "Virgin Mary" at a highway underpass. Come on. This is a present day example of false prophets. People are following their own hearts and saying it's from God. Worship the true God and you'll not bow down to a highway underpass.

Where do all the bad feelings go?
We go through different seasons in our lives. Lately I've been bombarded with negative thoughts. I've grown enough in the Lord to know I can't act upon those negative thoughts. But what do I do? I must take the thoughts into captivity. How? By filtering those thoughts though the lens of the cross. Those thoughts come through my flesh from many different sources. If I put my flesh to death then I will no longer be a receptor of those thoughts. How do I put my flesh to death? By starving it. When I feed my spirit with the words of God and dominate it with the same my flesh begins to rot. The temptation is to nurse my flesh back to health by having a self indulgence party. Oh, I can find people that would join me it. There are many people that love to gossip and just plain tear down the world. But that won't help me, no I'll starve my old nature and choose to live in the nature God has birthed in me.

Ezekiel 13:1-7 Imagination is great if used in a good way. Imagination used toward "self gratification" is wrong. Why? Because everyone is bent on evil. We were born in sin. I have observed people in the church that follow their own imaginations and called it spirituality. How do I know this? Because of the fruit. I believe in visions and dreams from God. But I sense a lot of the so called visions and dreams do not come from God. If the fruit is fruity then it's probally not from God. Judgment is against false teachers that follow their own imagination. I rarely say I have received anything from the Lord. (It brings fear to me because of these verses.) I've heard singers say that "The song was from the Lord". Excuse me if I'm blunt here but there are times I sure hope God doesn't sing like that. We're representatives of God and if he speaks or sings it would be millions times better than the greatest person of God.

Ezekiel 12:25-28 IT WILL HAPPEN. The people of Israel in Ezekiel's day were warned long enough. I think about these verses and it reminds me of what's coming upon this earth soon. Jesus will return and the church will be raptured. There are people that make fun of it and say it won't happen. IT WILL HAPPEN. -
Some recent studies of the thinking process of firemen raised some starling conclusions. The researchers were trying to determine how these individuals were able to make critical decisions in the heat of crisis, at blinding speeds. What they found out was that the firemen only had one option on their minds, verses a multitude of thoughts. It reminds me of the verse that said, "They were all of one mind and one accord." When we stick really close to the Father we're going to instinctively do his will. We will have only one option -his will.

Make your Words Matter
Eze 12:21-25 Various methods had been used to awaken this people to an expectation of the judgments coming. God questioned: "What is this proverb you have - The days are prolonged and the visions fail." I warn my children when they do something wrong and when they heed my warning nothing else is needed. But when they don't take my warning I have to back my words up with action. God is telling the people through Ezekiel that he is going to back up all the words that were previously said.
