  • Ok, I will pray for President Pohamba! Thanks for the comment-you made me laugh especially about Brooke and the shower, hahahahaha….too funny!

  • Well, what made your comment funny was that you can find humor in it (NOT that she broke the shower, hahaha). Most parents would be so stressed, you know? You are an awesome parent and your kids are very blessed to have you for a father. It’s a shame that I didn’t live in Yankton or you guys didn’t live in Omaha when I was in a foster home and up for adoption. No one wanted to adopt me because I was already like 15 or 16 I think. I just stayed in the same foster home until I left for college. It’s ok though-it helped me grow and made me who I am today, I actually wouldn’t have traded the experience for the world. It was sure better than living at home with a psycho alcoholic mother, hahahaha.
Pray for her, will ya? She’s just so materialistic and has a very strange way of thinking. I have never met anyone quite like my mom. It’s sad because she has manipulated me since I was a child and somehow must have put a fear in me because if I am not careful she still has the power to control me today. It happens more than I would like it to!
From your experience as a foster parent..is it pretty common for kids and I guess adults too to still have that unhealthy bond with their parents even though they may not have treated them the best? To give their parents the power to still walk all over them? It’s one of those things where I can’t stop talking to her and always respect her no matter what…I think it frustrates Derek and I don’t want that to interfere with my marriage. Well, here I am writing another book and pouring out my heart to you and the rest of the world. Oh well, it’s all about being real with myself and others . God bless!
