Father God, draw Prime Minister Sharon to Your Son so that he will recieve Your free gift of salvation.  I pray that he would run away from bad things and that he would live in the right way, serve You, and have faith, love patience, and gentleness.  Help him fight the good fight of faith. Amen

I was watching "Super Nanny" last night.  It was an episode about fractious kids overrunning their parents.  My initial thoughts were these parents and the Mom in particular were idolizing her children.  She put them in the place where Jesus should have been - 1st place in her heart.  She was connected to them in an unhealthy way.   The people put idols in their heart and estranged themselves from God. Eze 14:1-6    Idols are not some small foreign objects that we never touch.  Idols are people or things that take us away from loving Jesus.  God wants our hearts.  He created us for that reason.  He hates anything that separates us from him.

KFC is getting a make over.  The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that the restaurant in Louisville Kentucy is now bright red and includes murals of a   younger Colonel Sanders dressed to cook in a red apron.  It'll probally be coming to a city near you.  
I'm glad that when I gave my heart to the Jesus I din't get a "make over".  He completely changed my heart.  I must die daily to my flesh but that's the good part about it.  God uses all things to my good.  When I get to heaven I'll be a very unique creation.  Yes, I'll be exactly like Jesus but with everything God has worked in me.

Talk about stirring up a hornets nest.  - Which is not bad at times.  Many comments were very insightful; some comments were mean which also brought insight. God is controversial.  He does things that will irritate the human race.  Some kind of reaction is better than no reaction at all.  Eze 13:23 THEREFORE:  you shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and you shall know that I am the Lord your God.  The human race will one day know there is a God.  His name is Jesus.  How do I know that?  Because I believe in the Bible.  A day will come (I think it's not too far away) that this earth will be wiped clean of all false belief.

Thanks to all that responded.  The theme throughout many of the posts is this: Teens need to be respected.  Adults/parents may not agree with what their teens are doing but they need to value their young people.  It's a normal process for children to grow into and out of the care of the parents.  Many parents aren't ready for their son or daughter to leave. Why?  It could be because they've found security and their self worth in raising their child.  That's why serving the Heavenly Father is so important.  When we attach to the confines of this earth we're chaining ourselves to the temporary.  When the temporary grows up the chains are still attached.  Because the chain is still attached a teen may feel it's his/her requirement to break that chain.  And they will.  That's what I'm hearing from the teens.  It's tempting to address the words of teens and straighten them out but that's not the solution.  The solution is to understand beyond the words.
