  • Mt Rushmore was great.  I enjoyed going on the trails.  (I found out how out of shape I am – ha ha)  I continually told my girls to slow down going up the steps.

My devotion to my kids this morning:  Proverbs 1:23  Simple how long will you stay in simplicity?  Simple and simplicity is the same word.  It doesn’t change.  I told my kids that they had a choice today.  They could live life and not change -thus stay simple or they could choose to grow.  I’ve seen many people that have not grown up.  They are simple.  They stay in simplicity.  Those people falsely think they’re having fun but they don’t enjoy life to it’s fullest intent.  Those people don’t grow emotionally, spiritually or intellectively.  Why?  I don’t know the answer.  I wonder if anyone does.

  • We are to exercise towards Godliness.  1 Tim 4:7.  Went to hear a guest speaker last night.  He said there are four things extreme sports and believers have in common.

    1.  We must be willing to take risks and face your fear.  Heb 11:29

    2.  Pursue the OGM  (The, “Oh God!!!” moment)  Take risks that require fiath so you can be found faithful.

    3.  Decide to becom a player, not a poser (they never risk, they stay on the sidelines.  They dress like it, act like it, but never actually do it)  Changed:  heart, actions  Heb 12:1

    4.  Take the radical LEAP.  L=cultivate love.  E=Energy-passions.  Roman 12:9-12.  Love, don’t fake it. A=Audacity-take the leap of faith taht inspires audacity.  Daring spirit, adventuresome, blatant disregard for normal restraints (people, policy, words, discouragement).  P=Proof.  Produces proof.  “fruit”

  • Oh man, I apologize for all those typos.  I like Pastor’s take on the OGM’s.  He asks us to do something in faith, and we have these “Oh, Godddddddd” shrieks of fear as we put one foot in front of the other, full of fear, freaking out.

  • I bet it was beautiful
