Pastor Jeff preached on the Holy Spirit today. What stuck in my mind is the subject of fire. God will send fire into our lives. How will we know it? It’s extremely uncomfortable. At that time I have a choice. I can try to get rid of the uncomfortable feeling by many methods. i.e. recreation, food, people ect. Or I could go to the Father and hold on. If I do the latter I must not look at myself; I must look at Jesus. I suspect people have left the church in the middle of fire.

Our God IS a consuming FIRE. Praise God for your pastor. Not many are preaching the Holy Spirit these days. I think God is bringing the body even more into Him now. He wants us to know Him in the power of His resurrection. I ministered a couple of months ago on the fire of God. I was really moved because there are hundreds of entries in the bible where it speaks of fire and it on most occassions are speaking of God’s manifestations. Some of the fire is not good where we are concerned, but it is still God. He will manifest a fire!!! God is awesome, really awesome. Thank you for sharing.
No I am not a Pastor, but I am a licensed minister. I do a lot of outreach in the community and taught in the prisons for 5 years. My pastor does have me to teach some Sunday morning services. I also lead the praise and worship at my church. If you’re interested I did a post on the fire of God on July 5, 2005.

i dont know how i feel about harry potter, im pretty torn on them. i used to read them (and they were very good books!) but i heard a speaker speak against them (and many other things ofcourse) using the reasoning that it opens the door and lets satan sneak in the tiniest bit and that makes them harazdous to read. i guess thats true even though it is fiction, it still gives satan a foothold. i am sure that not just anyone should read them. not young kids like 8-12 year olds, they would have to be able to decearn between real and unreal. its just a tough call.

Yes, many of us christians want to have that fire from god. But we cant persevere till the end to recieve it to the full extent. Thank you for dropping by me.
