I’ve been out of town for the past several days – Pierre, South Dakota. I went with my wife and our 15 month old. Having 6 kids in the house and then just having one for a few days was good. It was a retreat. The speaker was so funny.
I’m excited about tommorrow. I’ll be swearing in as a CASA representative. CASA is court appointed special advocate. -A court investigator for neglected and abused children.

Oh, my. You shouldn’t swear….. in or out, and especially around children.
How awesome. I could have used an advocate when I was a child, but I was pretty much left on my own in dealing with issues. Thank you for taking on this vital and important job.

Hi. I saw your comments on the Proffessor’s site and wanted to say that it’s nice to meet someone else that believes in freewill. I started a blogring called – Freewill – The Grace and Mercy of God. You;re welcome to join.

Wow. You are taking on more responsibilities on top of your career in caring for children. I admire that you will be loving children who are already scared from being neglected and abuse (i.e. in great need of positive attention), let alone how scared they must be in a courtroom environment. When I searched for info on CASA, the search engines came up with various programs. I’m assuming that this is the CASA you are referring to…http://www.siouxfallscasa.com/volunteer.htm .
I have a natural curiousity to learn from those who care for children as a career. My brother-in-law has an outstanding academic background in sociology/psychology and has worked with special needs children since he was in high school. He’s 40 years-old now. The last time I spoke to him, he was a coordinator (oversees counselors of special needs children) at a special needs children’s hospital up in Seattle. He’s not a believer in medicating kids. He believes that extra/proper parental attention is the key to overcoming most obstacles. My heart tells me the same.
