I have a few separate thoughts today that don’t have anything in common.
Thought One: In evaluating historical figures I look to the children. Take Thomas Jefferson. His wife died after child birth, a few of his children died a little later, leaving him with 2 girls: Polly & Patsy. Each of the girls changed their names to Maria & Martha respectively. Why would these girls change their names? (I read between the lines.) Thomas was a creator, an originator in ideas. That reflects in his girls. What a wonderful attribute to the author of the Declaration of Independence. His greatest accomplishments was that his ideas were passed down to his children.
Thought Two: Many people left Jesus after he told them he was the Bread of Life and they needed to partake of his body. They knew exactly what he meant. I sense people today do not know what that means. The military forces teach it best when they enlist someone. A common statement by a drill sergeant is this, “You are not your own any longer you belong to the Army”. You can go to church and not belong to Christ. I wonder how many people would flock out of the church if they saw the prerecasist to beoming a Christ was giving up your own rights?

The churches would probably be almost empty, sad to say.
I like the song. Who is it?
Zelda does indeed speak several words.
She loves to say “MOM” and “DANIEL” a lot!!! LOL
Well..I’m thinking if people on the outside saw ones that were ready to give up thier rights.. they may be encourged to do the same. Its wonderful giving yourself over to the one who loves us so much!

It’s hard to say, but it would certainly “weed out” a lot of false ones, wouldn’t it?
About the Constitution: Jefferson took the Iroquois National Constitution and fashioned the USC after it. That’s right; another thing the Europeans stole from the Native Americans. Makes one wonder how original the Declaration was also…

… Your post made me think of that. LOL.
What religion r u?
I used to believe I prayed in tongues. I used to believe I had the gift of healing. I used to believe alot of things that I weigh and measure against so many things. I know someone that prays in tongues that struggles with smoking and lust.I know a very uptight non believer in tongues that lives very uprightly, a christian faithful wife and generous in giving to her church. Only prays Sunday morning at church. We live in a strange world now
Sounds like you have a really, really cool pastor……
WaterBoo – I’m guessing he’s a Christian…..
your profile pic looks like Coach K at Duke.
isn’t it interesting that the Army then wears a patch that reads, “For God and country.” as if one can be loyal to both equally if he/she truly belongs to God.
