In Honor Bound this morning, we talked about suffering. I appreciate God in thinking enough of me to allow me to go through pain. There is a story of a Chinese and American having a conversation. The American asks the Chinese, “Doesn’t God love the Chinese? After all the Chinese people have suffered so much.” To which the Chinese responded, “I’ve often wondered if God loved the Americans, after all he doesn’t have them go through suffering as much.” I think about those with leprosy. They don’t experience pain. If one breaks their foot, they wouldn’t even know it. That person would still walk on their hurt foot and eventually it would have to be removed. Pain keeps us in our boundaries.

I enjoyed Narnia. I have never read the books before. I am attempting to do that right now, but I am only in the first book. I like your post today. It makes me wonder.
Yes, wow you have a good point. Gosh, I just came to a revelation when I read your blog. I was struggling with something for so long. There is someone talking about “healing” and all that stuff, and I have an illness and have asked the Lord to heal me of my illness and I have to say, He hasn’t. He may never heal me…maybe he will. Someone has been “after” me that I need to be HEALED and that HEALING does exist. But when I came across your blog, I realized something very important. People SUFFER all around the world, why haven’t they been healed if they love the Lord so much and have asked for healing? I have come to the conclusion that sometimes it is HIS will and sometimes its not.
Great post and thanks for praying! I understand that your wife came by on Fri? That must have been when Derek had Maliyah @ the dr.’s office b/c Isaiah and I were crashed! After Maliyah is better, we will let ya know and you can stop by if you’d like. If the weather is better next Sunday I’d like to come to church.
Thanks for your comment and what you have shared. I didn’t know about the preacher in the wheelchair. I do know that Wigglesworth was sick and still preached. I wanted to let you know that Clarissa is healed and thank you for your prayers.
Amen…good word!
Great word! A good reminder that we shouldn’t be so concerned with comfort as commitment.
