I just got back from Middle School Camp. It was great. God really moved among the campers. I feel like I found hidden treasurer in the campers I had. I learned new things about them. It was great.
Cool! Our church’s kids camp is next week. The Childrens Ministry pastors are wiped by the end of camp. We were able to raise $4000+ through a dessert auction and so lower the price to $20. The church sponsors a lot of kids from the lower economic side of town so they can come. Many have parents in prison, single parent families, or kids who are basically raising their siblings.
Yay! Welcome back!
Cost was at a high of $60, and low of $20. The church offsets the cost by the dessert auction and also sponsorships from people in the church. They do FunPlex $20, Nickel A Play $5, pizza there $5, food for Fri am-Sat pm, build-your-own Sunday, and a myriad of activities on the church property. The greatest thing is to be able to send the Good News Bears, the group of kids who don’t get to have much fun. They get to just be kids for once, and also be introduced to the love of God.
Kids are amazing aren’t they. I am so glad to hear of kids spending time with God, I never did that, nor had the exposure. I pray the seeds sown will remain forever. Heather
