  • RiverBoat Days

Yankton had RiverBoat days yesterday.  The parade was great.  It was a little cool with a slight breeze - wonderful weather.

  • My 22 year old daughter is leaving for college.  I had lunch with her yesterday.  She's going to be missed so very much.  Alicia was my assistant in Children's Ministry for several years and that is going to leave a void.  We did a slide show on a "going away" party this last Wednesday night.
I'm not doing so good with her leaving.  I totally bombed out yesterday.

  • Mark 12 -  A scribe came to Jesus began to tell Him about the One God.  I find out when I witness to people they have no problem believing in Jesus.  But they do have a problem when I say that he is the ONLY God.  That's why we're called intolerant.  Deut 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.   Jesus told the scribe, "You answered good, you're not far from the Kingdom of God."  The scribe believed in God - believing in Jesus as God would have brought him into the Kingdom.

  • Mark 12

The book of Mark is about miracles, except for the 12th chapter.  In this chapter Jesus rebukes many different people.  I'm not particularly thrilled to be in the 12th chapter but it's necessary.  Jesus is alive in me.  Does he have to clean his temple with rebuke?  Yes, if he's to do any miracles. And believe  me he does throw things around.

  • We just finished a "Father's Heart" conference.  It was great.  Most of our problems come from not being able to see the real Father God.
