  • The Trial

        In my devotions I've come to the place of the trial of Jesus.  No matter how hard they tried, the sanhedrin couldn't get two people to agree to one charge against Jesus.  What convicted Him?  His own words. Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" "I am," said
    Jesus.  That got Him crucified.

  • Thats because those words were blasphemy. To say that G-d is anything but One Being is blasphemy. From a Jewish perspective, we take great stock in Hosea 13:4....

    Only I the Lord have been your God
    Ever since the land of Egypt;
    You have never known a [true] God but Me,
    You have never had a Savior other than Me.

    So, from the Sanhedrin's point of view, he was a blasphemer, offending them, the Jewish faith, a heretic, and he deserved to die.

  • Thank you for your compliment good sir, I am also a Christian and indeed follow the Lord's ways.
