Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.  Matthew 5:8  To look into God’s eyes will be to see what we’ve always longed to see:  the person who made us and for whom we were made.  My Dad died when I was young and yet I still yearn to talk to him.  He’s my earthly father.  How much more for my Heavenly Father?   What will I ask Him on that day?  I have a few questions in mind right now.  Father, what was my purpose?  or a harder question: Father, did I meet your expectations?  I can’t say I know God’s answer but I suspect He’ll look at Jesus, His Son, and then back at me and say, “Yes”.   Everything I accomplish in this life, that would be of any value, is what I’ve allowed Jesus to do through me. 

Are ghosts real?  Many of the popular cable channels offer shows where you can watch mediums contact the dead.

Teens seem to think this is real.  They have become involved in occult actiities at an alarming rate.  This was according to a study conducted by George Barna.  The study said that 73 percent of America’s youth has engaged in some type of psychic or withcraft related activitiy beyond watching TV and reading horoscopes.  In addition 10 teens said they had participated in a seance and one out of 12 said they tried to cast a spell or mix a magic potion.  

How about talking to Aunt Salley that died a year ago?  There is a growing popularity of using mediums to contact the dead.  Scripture supports the idea that Satan and his demons can impersonate dead humans. Why would they do this? Their goal is always to direct a person away from God.

Often they will use a person’s deep grief at the loss of a loved one to gain their attention. Once the person believes they are hearing from their loved one, and that they can renew contact with him or her through the psychic or medium, they are hooked on the supernatural experience. Satan can then use this to lure them away from God and into a myriad of other occult activities.

Ghosts are real.  Psychic powers are real.  -really dangerous.  Operating in them can open up a person to satanic influences and practices that the Bible forbids.

In heaven we will see the face of God according to Revelations 22:4.  Something radically will have changed in us to get us to that point.  If we saw the face of God now we’d die.  John fell down as a dead man when he encountered Jesus in the beginning of Revelations.  On that day, when we’re in heaven, we’ll be fully righteous in Christ, standing in our resurrected bodies, untainted by sin.  Not only will we see his face and live – we will likely wonder if we ever lived before we saw his face!

One day there will be a earth without sin, suffering & death.   “Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth – so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore.” Isaiah 65:17  ”As surely as my new heavens and earth will remain, so will you always be my people, with a name that will never disappear,” says the LORD.  Isaiah 66:22     We’re looking for that newness:  But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world where everyone is right with God.  2 Peter 3:13.   We’ll never get in trouble in the New Heaven and New Earth.  We’ll be in perfect harmony with God & creation. 

Bound 4 Life was here last night.  These were young adults based out of Washington DC.    The speaker spoke on the topic of Esther.  He said:  “South Dakota, this is your Esther moment.”  In the book of Esther, she had a decision to make and that decision would be a life or death one.  She choose life and many lived because of her choice.  On November 7th, South Dakota has a life or death decision to make.  We must choose life, so that many will live.
