I fell asleep last night with my 2 year old still being awake – big mistake.  I woke up with pen mark all over my arm.  (and she was covered in ink as well)  When I saw the pen marks I thought, “I have another story about my 2 year old. -oh goodie.  I thought of the Thessolonians. They emulated Paul  and became an example of the power of the Holy Spirit working in them.  They had a story and Paul loved to tell it.  What’s your show n tell – concerning Jesus working in you?    I’d love hear your stories.

  • I wish I have a story at this moment.  I can’t really “brag” about anything right now.  I need to slow down, pray that the Holy Spirit fills me up, and be in the word.  I’ve been too caught up in all the business of life.

  • What happened to the interesting and lively discussion about the abortion issue?  That entire page disappeared.  Is it somewhere I can look at it or is it gone?

  • Randy,

Well, God’s been very good to me throughout my entire life.  I’m a preacher’s son, need I say more?  God provided for my parents in really neat and awesome ways.  Then in my adult life for God to have taken me across the 25 years of my “career” from the life & health insurance business, to Enterprise Rent A Car, and then to development work for a Christian college (LeTourneau University in Longview, TX) and then after 9 years back to my alma mater to do development work, and most recently for another small Christian college to ask me to teach a class for seniors in college — in January ’07 — on Fundraising & Grant Writing.  God’s guiding hand has been pretty evident all the way along….  Meanwhile, I have struggled with some pretty intense personal issues, as you might read about on my blog.  But even there, life’s curve balls can be intense but God is good and faithful.  That’s about it in a brief summary for me.  I hope this helps you know me a tiny bit more.  Blessings my friend,

    – John
