Tramp Family Christmas Letter
The night glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed around the room and cherished the sight.
Kalli our 2 year old was asleep, her head on my chest,
Her running around, Kim actually now had rest.
Danielle beside me, wrapped in a blanket of white,
An Honor Roll student by day, a pizza maker at night.
Danielle in perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
Involved with the Youth Group and looking for her dream.
We see the sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Kristina, injured by a patient while working at HSC,
Surgery in September, Vacation since May -Not
She’s gradually getting to the place where she can say, “I’m OK”
The sound wasn’t loud, and it was too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Kalli awakened by a curious Noah, but I didn’t quite know,
Why Noah would want to go outside and play in the snow.
He’s a kindergartener and seven years old,
and did I say he likes to go outside and play in the cold?
I did tell you about the sparkling lights I believe,
We’re all going to be together on Christmas Eve.
For Alicia, going to college in Ellendale, ND at TBC
Her family is happy she’s returning, is giddy with glee.
For barely a moment, My eyes had to shift,
Alisha Dawn, now a teen, my mind did drift.
Back to the moments, when we adopted our five,
Kalli, Noah, Austin, Alisha Dawn, & Brooke, each separately did arrive.
Alisha Dawn and Brooke in books they love to read,
In drama is a place they both need to be.
Austin, moving as fast as he can, basketball, baseball & soccer in the spring,
He’d probably join chorus, like Alisha Dawn, but he can’t sing.
Kristina, Alicia and Danielle our biological,
In our house, because Kalli is boss is not dull.
A wonderful year, we’ll not regret,
We love our family, and we’ll never forget,
Who brought us together with children of eight,
it’s not always been fun, but still it’s great.
It’s Father God we love,
Jesus His Son from above.
