Ashley is 9 years old that has severe brain damage. She will be in an infant state all of her life. Her parents have had her growth stunded to keep her small and manageable. This will insure that Ashley will be able to stay with them the rest of her life.
The story & video: LinkDo these parents have the right to make this decision for their daughter?

actually our papaya salad is very spicy and hot. I’m laotian not filipino.
I read this one before and had posted it on my site a couple of times. I think it is absolutely wrong…I honestly believe that life should take its own natural course. And I truely think the parents are selfish for wanted to do this to this girl. You should love your child no matter the situation and not want to change them in anyway or make them something they are not.
If we interrupt human nature taking a natural course, I believe it is the height of arrogance. It is one thing to enable the possibility of “improving” quality of life and it is quite another, such as you described in Ashley’s case. Of course, she would be far more managable, under the given circumstances, but who ever said that bearing one’s own cross would be easy? Or cut down to “convenient” size? Hmmm….it sounds like Ashley’s parents have the stunted brains.
Thats brilliant.. … not really… its terrible. how do we stunt growth? do we wrap people up in tight cloth?
Why don’t they ship her off to spain or something? - I suppose the real question is.. Is it any of our business what people decide to do with their kids.. vegetable or not
I don’t feel I’m in the possition to judge someone else… that’s for God to do. He knows their reasons and their hearts.
