Follow the Leader

Greek word for ”to lead” is ago; ago comes from the root word agon. Agon is where we get our word agony.
In the Greek agon describes intense conflict.
Although we are made to follow; the human spirit by nature hates to submit to authority. (Try to get a 2 year old to follow directions.)Who do you follow? Are you a follower or a leader?

Generally I’m happy as a follower, but sometimes I have an urge to lead that makes it hard for me to be a good follower.
You nare a funny guy! Most of my readers know that I rarely take a day off from posting so when I do, it must be a biggie… and it was! No, I didn’t get things sorted out. If anything, I am more confused than I was before. Oh well, that’s what therap is for, right! BTW, I am mostly a follower. I don’t have te ambition to be a leader!

I tend to lead when the need necessitates it (when absolutely no one else will step up to the plate. IN general though, I tend to be more of a follower.
I follow JESUS!
But I tend to be both.

I tend to take “stands” about moral conduct based soley upon the precepts and truths of the Holy Bible. I am sure I am not “always” successful, however, I make all my effort to give it the best shot I am capable of. My “free will” allows me to choose readily, the direction I want to go on. I do “not” believe human beings were made to “follow” or to “lead”. However, I do most heartily believe we were made to know God, to love God and to serve Him. I am a “server” and I try my darndest to accomplish this everyday. Praise God for His merciful understanding!!! Amen!

Yes, I do have 8 children and 1 grandbaby on the way. God has given me these children for I couldn’t have children and He healed me.One of my married daughters can’t have children and we are praying for God to heal her also. I wouldn’t trade places with anyone in the world. Two of my children are married and one is engaged. We have had some very hard times and God has brought us through them all. I am attempting to fast for 10 days and I need prayer so if you pray would you pray for me. (I’m on day four) Our church is starting revival on the 4th of Feb. and I want to et closer to God than I have ever been. I feel for some reason that I need this in an urgent way.

I’d like to think I can lead if the need comes around, but for the most part I am content in following as well. I like helping people, but sometimes feel uncomfortable if I feel like I’m giving orders to people.
There are actually two remarkable people in my life…1) My hubby. I could not have hand-picked a better person to spend the rest of my life with. God definitely knew what he was doing when He placed him in my life. 2) My MIL. She is more of a mother to me than my own mother ever was. She is an inspiration to me, and with her guidance and encouragement I have become a better wife, mother, and person. I hope to be a Godly example like her to my own family.
Hey Randy, I am doing good. I haven’t been on in a couple of days, but I was just reading my subs. I think I am a little bit of them both. I can follow and lead, its according to the circumstances. I follow to learn, I lead when I have learned. I think a person has to be a good follower before he can be a good leader.
My husband is quite unusual. He is a very humble person, but he is very knowledgable. From the outside you wouldn’t know it, but when he knows something it, its top shelf. He has a gift of problem solving. He’s kinda an egghead..hahahaha!
How precious the art to dissect the words , the art of the etymology . I realize you are a words lover and you are right . The word well definite is a strength , a powerful act . Word is action .

You say in your comment my TV looks like a computer screen . Figure my computer screen looksl ike this TV screen . yes All those machines are new and have a flat screen . My ancient computer bought in 1998 was too weak with the heavy sites . But it still is working .

Answer : I am not sure that the TV screen may be used like a computer screen ; but what is sure is my new computer and its screen may recept the TV ( It ‘ s equiped with Windows media center ) . But I have to study more the machine !!!!

Hey! Thanks! Its always fun hearing back from you! That Grass Hut sound like a lot of fun! Right now we just have a lot of booths from all the different Missions set up all around campus.

Being a Children’s Pastor – wow, than must be a blessing. I love working with children!
I follow Jesus! (I try!) I think I am more of a follower but sometimes as a Christian you have to be a leader.. so that you lead the lost to Jesus. Does that make sense?!

Hot means cool and cool means cold and cold is the opposite of hot. I thought of that once like a year ago and thought it very fascinating.
