Bad Accident – We just found out that a car ran into our HyVee Gas Station.  The car went completely into the station.  An employee was hit.  My daughter said she saw a person being carried out in a black bag.

It’s good being back home.  I suprised my family by getting back for our anual business meeting.  No one was expecting me there.  Branson was a lot of fun and I came away with many ideas that I’m going to put in action.  I guess one of the highlights was this communication:  There were 3 of us that stuck together.  We have another friend that is doing Children’s Work in Africa.  Well, during the conference,we were in contact with Rich via emails.  (He’s trying to get us to come to Africa for a visit. – We may just do that.)

My vision for where I’m going this next year has become clearer.  I’ve reajusted and set some new goals.  I feel I’m going to accomplish it this next year.
How important is having a future vision to you?

    Today's Cartoon
All seriousness set aside:  Is it just me or is a teenager here trying to get into a phone that was used in the 70′s?  LOL

I had to laugh.  My teenage daughter’s friend has to carry around a “real life” baby.  She stopped over and the mechanical baby started to cry.  A few years ago we got a chuckle out of a teen that put her “assignment baby” in the nursery.   I guess that’s what happens in real life.

  • if it’s from God  very important  however i must live fully each hour & day in the present  that way i knnow i will automatically accomplish what is important  “Take no thought for tommorrow….  glad you enjoyed your meeting group energy can accomplish great things  blessings beck

  • It’s become more so. I hadn’t realized how important it is to have one until recently. If you don’t have one… things just get stagnant. lol Ang

Glad you ade it home safely. Ang

  • Not a whole lot to be honest.  Sometimes I have been a greater witness for the Lord when I am totally visionless.  I thinkVision is a bit over rated.  To be like Jesus for me is enough.

  • Your family has a business meeting? How does that work for you?

Future Vision? Well its nice to have an idea of where your headed, but things change so rapidly , you need to be able to adjust quickly… I find the people who are too set in what they need to do/where they think they need to go, get too tense to enjoy the little gifts God places when plans change… does that make sense?

  • I am glad you had a good trip and a safe return….Our oldest, 26 is married and we have 3 to go!!

Have a good time this weekend.

  • I think future vision is important to me.   If I know the final goal, the “drudgery” of getting there is more tolerable.   If the task(s) that I am doing don’t have a point, then what’s the point in doing them.  Of course, if the Lord says to do something, we have to trust that even if we can’t see the bigger picture, He can and His intentions are good, and do what He asks the best we can.

  • Having a future vision and goals is extremely important. It’s good to keep running, but you gotta’ know what you’re running towards or you’ll run into something.

  • How can you navigate to the best place if you don’t have a map of the road ahead of you?  Or at least an idea of where you’re going?

  • Honestly, I’ve never been the kind of person who says, ‘In 10-years I want to be doing this…’ In fact, that is the one ‘interview’ question I always dread because I don’t ever have an answer. I don’t know where I want to be in 10-years. I’ve never been much of a planner and I’ve never set future goals for myself…I take it as it comes. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, I don’t know. It seems to have worked out so far. I guess the way I see it is that no matter how much we plan, we aren’t truly in control of anything….I trust that my path will be layed before me as I go. =)

    Have a great day! =)

  • Having “goals” or “vision” is a prime example of “HOPE” in your life.  That is exactly the “point” of  it all.  Achieving  it gives the soul a wonderful satisfaction.  However, there are those times, which happen frequently, when “life” gets in the way of our plans, and we must put everything on a back burner.   So, we continue to pray for the perserverance to complete what we have begun.   Having written that, I firmly believe that the Good Lord has allowed us to become “beset” with those obstacles during our Life’s walk.  It’s our “cross”, for awhile, anyway.  It’s not that we shouldn’t have a cross, it’s exactly how we “bear” it that counts for so much in the Good Book (or not so good book!!!)  So, goals are about NOT giving up because HOPE is a good thing, established as a virtue by Christ Himself!!!

  • Oh….the pictures of the resort you stayed at aren’t showing!
Having a future vision is not so important to me.
That’s cool that you might go to Africa! I wish I could go to a different country. I’d go to Denmark on a boat

  • Thanks.

    Have a good one!

  • thanks for droppin in ~

  • hello hello there

  • it’s a cold one but just cooking dinner, (taco’s) ryc

  • Glad you had a good trip and I am glad you made it home safe & sound. take care and have a wonderful weekend!

  • Its very important since I do not believe in a god. And because of that, I create how I want my life to be. If I didn’t have a future vision, then that’d mean I have nothing to look forward to.

  • btw RYC, how much did it snow :) ?

  • My future vision currently is short sighted.  I want full use of my voice and hand.  Then… on to bigger and meatier goals.  :)

  • Hey Randy,
     Thanks.

  • you are a blessed man 7777    have agreat weekend   blessings beck

  • Glad to see you back. Judi

  • Yes, I think this “mechanical baby” thing is done in nearly every HS. It records if the baby is not cared for.. What a brief experience in child-rearing. I wonder if this makes a difference for these students??

A goal and vision in life?? Yes, I have one. And, it is much greater than I am.

    Have a great weekend.
