    Funny Signs

    Area 51
Early Daylight Savings Time Causes Concerns
Daylight saving time is early this year.  It will be on March 11th but Eurpoe will maintain the old daylight savings schedule.  The automatic time changes on computer will have to be readjusted.   I personnally would wish they did away with daylight savings time.
Do you like daylight savings time or would you rather it go away?
DLST reminded me of my Navy days.  When we went West on a ship we lost an hour and they put it during our sleeping time but when we traveled east the extra hour was put in during our work time. – no fair.  & yes your birthday could be taken away from you.  International date line crossing lost or gained a day – now that was weird.  Someone in Washington thought they were being funny by scheduling us to cross the international date line on Friday the 13th.  – We had 2.

  • LOL… violaters will vanish… I need to put that sign on some of the rooms in my house. lol

I do have a sign posted as you come into the mudroom… It says ‘Abandon Hope all Ye Who enter here.’ there are just some days… that feels too true. lol

    Have a great weekend! Ang

  • Hahaha those are so funny the dog one is my favorite I think or the sharp edges one those are funnnnnyyyyyyy

  • ryc:  Hey!!!  I remember you!!!  I used to be Me_N_God!  Maybe you don’t remember me…..anyway, hi!!

  • lol… those are FUNNY! i needed a laugh! thanks!

  • ryc:  my Sat is spent working, sadly enough.

  • For a very long time, Indiana did not recognize DST. When we first moved out here, for the first 4 years, it was strange not to have to change our clocks like we had to in NY our whole lives. It also meant that for part of the year, we were on the same time as my folks in NY and for the rest of the time, we were on Central time. Last year, they passed the legislation to have Indiana join with the other majority of states to change their clocks as well, and there was much debate on which time zone to align with. We started changing our clocks for DST. Easy come, easy go I guess! Now there are a lot of people who are trying to change it back to not observing and others who are not happy with which time zone. I guess you can’t please everyone. The only other states who do not are Arizona and Hawaii.

  • ryc:  Thanks!  Nice to see ya again!  You are more than welcome to join in whenever you can.

  • Oh yeah….HUGE debate. Year after year there were folks trying to get that legislation passed and year after year it was shot down. Not sure why this time it went through. I was loving not having to adjust my internal clock, but yeah, it made for a lot of confusion for my parents remembering if we were on their time or an hour behind at whatever time of year. Part of the biggest debate was what part of the country we do the most business with….NY or Chicago (considering Chicago is only about 3 hours away) we ended up on Eastern anyway.

  • ryc: You are so lucky if you live in a place where a mudroom isn’t needed. lol It’s a room that you usually come into a back door or side door on… Where you hang your coats and have a boot tray or shoe rack… the floors are exctremly cleanable. lol Anyway… Maybe I’ll post a picture of ours some day.  Ang

  • I just got thinking….I thought our house was crazy with 4 kids….7 kids must be almost twice as bad as ours. Oy! I don’t know how you do it…I am pulling hair out with 4 and hubby wanted MORE…He is STILL pouting about me having my tubes tied! lol

  • RYC: WaTiki is a new indoor water park sandwiched between a LaQuinta Inn and a Fairfield Inn between RC and Ellsworth. Check it out at http://www.watikiwaterpark.com/Waterpark.htm

  • I’m still waiting for moonlight savings days.  :o )

  • Keep DST “steady” at the keel.  Changing every six months is most annoying to the balance of daily routine.  It takes me months to adjust to that constant change and just when I haave adjusted, back it goes again.  I think it’s disruptive to most people.  So I am for keeping DST.

  • I think it good to have time saving.

  • rypost: I would rather it go away.  It just makes for a messed up day for me…unless it’s the one where I get to sleep in an extra hour.

ryc:  Thank you!  That verse has so much meaning in it that I could spend a couple of days writing posts on it…I love God’s Word.

  • I never read that they moved day light savings time. Judi

  • ryc:  Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

  • Im an hour late, so i dont have time to think of an answer.    Have a good day.

  • RYC: It’s open to the public as well as hotel guests, but it’s pricey. Go on the web site and you can get prices.

  • I suppose daylight savings is good, it gives more daylight into the day!

  • Great signs.  Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my site.

  • ryc—-ah   the games we play…a little wit can make a big smile.

  • Hi Randy. We don’t have DST here in Phoenix. I love not having it. Have a good weekend.

  • Well, thank you for your service to our country!!  My dad was a Navy man.  Loved the signs!  I don’t think we have big plans for Valentines, we just found out we have a big debt for taxes. = (  *sigh*  Take care & God bless!

  • Those signs are hilarious. And I wish we would keep the same time all year- but I’d want it to be the summer version, so it’d get dark later in the winter time. Can we get that included in an election or something so we can just nix the time changes??

  • ryc: I guess it coul be called a Porch… except its a room… lol I mean it’s totally enclosed. I always think of a porch as being open to the outside…

  • i guess i enjoy having the “spring forward, fall back”  having the most sunlight is best for me

ryc: i’m glad you enjoyed the video :)

  • Hey Randy,
     hehe! I love those!

    Thanks for the best wishes.

     How’s it goin’?

       *smile*

  • I Google this date change for daylight saving time and found that Windows has put out a update to update the calendar on windows units. Judi

  • Yeah, I asked him “Hun, what the heck are you going to do when the kids are all moved out and gone and the house is clean and quiet? You’re going to go nuts!” He says “THEN we’ll adopt or be foster parents” So I don’t think I would even have to let him talk to ya because he is one thought ahead of us both. I just smacked my head and said D’OH!! I can’t wait for the day when I can concentrate on my own thoughts instead of dealing with fighting kids all the time. LOL Yes, I know you’re sitting there thinking…..”She;s wrong, she’ll miss the chaos” and I say NOPE!! :P

  • Those signs are pretty funny!

I really don’t care about daylight savings time.  Just another change in our everyday lives, thats actually pretty petty compared to other life changes.

  • I wish they’d banish DST, too.

Signs are funny..esp “vanish without a trace”.

    thanks for sharing.

    Christy

  • No I do not like it either. They were talking at one time to do away with it and I thought it would be this spring, but I guess not.
