  • This didn’t turn out the best – lighting not good but it’s a little of the Character Connex.  – School Assembly.  There were about 250 children in the school – elementary.  We played Human Basketball, had a drama, an illusion, a video and a magic board.  We taught on Honesty.  A lot of fun.

http://www.xanga.com/jtqueenbee30 has a very interesting Zoo story w/ pictures.

This weeks featured city. (As requested by an xangan.)

  • Glad you are a mountain-man, hehe….Have a great weekend and thanks for your prayers for Jeff’s Pastor….Mike

  • Seems like it might be a little warm in Africa.

  • The last assembly I documented on film was the one that I helped to design & paint the backdrops. I also designed this rather large red car facade thingy from foamcore board that the kids held in front of them as they sang & walked across the stage to make it look like they were going for a ride….
Original hometown: Midland, Michigan, current hometown: Austin, Texas–take your pick or do both….

  • very cool. I like teaching kids about ethical principles. :)

  • The background came from the movie Ghost Rider.   Your wecome to borrow it.

I will reply to your question in the next day or so on my blog.

  • a shizshu? weird. do you live in east london or south africa?

  • I saw you on Lindaintennesse’s site.  I have been to your hometown many times, but just passing through.  I spent several years doing mission work in the Dakotas.  I love them in the Summer.  Not a winter person.

  • how about san antonios weather?

  • thx

  • ryc: The one I spoke of was from about the mid-90′s just before my son went on to middle school. The music teacher at elementary school was a theater enthusiast, so many of her “projects” took the form of a musical production. Years ago when I was teaching Sunday school, I also helped out with with some children’s church productions & a special Godspell production with adults. Now we have this awesome lady who sings in choir that has been working with the elementary aged kids–they all love her dearly. She is thankful for the gifts she has received from God & likes to share them when she can. One of her own daughters often visits our church to sing a solo with the choir and it is better than many professional performances I have heard! (When I finish my term as moderator of the deacons this year, I may have to start teaching again. Kids are such a blast!) Before husband & children I also used to do that same sort of thing with a local music theater group near Houston, TX. Designing the program covers & publicity handbills was kinda cool, too….

  • hey thanks for doing my home town.  Yep I live on the Indian ocean so usually the water si pretty warm.  Thanks for the weather up date as well.  Yay tomorrow is another beach day.  Went inland today about an hour and a half and it was 40 degrees.  really, rally hot and add a bit of humidity.

  • Hey Randy,
oh the weather here is total spring weather…unpredictable! Last week it was freezing with snow on the ground, this week, (up until today) was warm and bright, and today it is thunderstorming like crazy! I think our house might blow away! lol

     *smile*
               -Miquelie.

  • haha, so i see that one of your hobbies is star trek… i feel like the biggest DORK ever but i am a giant TNG and Voyager fan… how about you?
ryc- thanks for the birthday wishes! it was a GREAT day/weekend! :) have a good one!

  • ohh, okay, lol. i was hoping you weren’t throwing kids into baskets or something like that.

  • RYC: The only things I give serious consideration to during lent are the unseen things I take stock of during this time. The idea of lent is to let God deal with you, and I think it should be a spiritual spring cleaning, not something for show.

PS: Are you from So Africa?

  • East London ¡H

  • the most important thing? hmm…there are too many important things for me to choose!!
