One Sunday morning, everyone in one bright, beautiful, tiny town got up early and went to the local church.
Before the services started, the townspeople were sitting in their pews and talking about their lives, their families, etc. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church. Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate.
Soon everyone was evacuated from the church, except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew, not moving… seemingly oblivious to the fact that God’s ultimate enemy was in his presence. Now this confused Satan a bit, so he walked up to the man and said, “Don’t you know who I am?”
The man replied, “Yep, sure do.”
Satan asked, “Aren’t you afraid of me?”
“Nope, sure ain’t,” said the man.
Satan was a little perturbed at this and queried, “Why aren’t you afraid of me?”
The man calmly replied, “Been married to your sister for over 48 years.”

Great point, Randy. Satan IS a deceiver!!!!
ohhhh thanks for the reminder! I always forget until it’s too late and I am the one getting fooled~!
Thanks for the reminder, Randy!
happy april fool’s day!
happy april fool day!
enemy is all around us for sure!
Funny, but I was talking about thins with my family… not the exact verse, but rather how Satan tries to get to us… we have had a run of ‘bad luck’ lately, lost 3 major appliances, car troubles, now the deal with 10 and those boney tumors… I told them that instead of feeling like God is picking on us, we should be glad that we are obviously doing something right around here, for Satan to be so all out occupied with trying to get us to despair… but it ain’t gonna work, oh no, we know God is there to protect us and to provide… no despair here… “Consider him in all things, lest you lose faith and despair…”
I probably will be fooled with all the stuff I’m doing today ahha.
Thank you, I’ve been looking for that verse but couldn’t find it.
Ugh, I woke up too late… I missed out on playing pranks on a lot of people.
Yea, me too, thanks for reminding!
Btw, Randy – just to let you know, I voted for you in the poll on TheTheologiansCafe’s site.
have a great day….and by the way…it is spring…the snow only lasted for a few hours, the sun came out, snow melted and it was gorgeous! spring in the southwest!
hello back, how have you been
i’ll try not to be
Sure don’t want to be fooled, that’s for sure! I have posted a slide show of the Conference….Mike
