I've been there twice. The last time was 3 weeks ago! They sure have done a lot of building and improvements since we were first there in 1992. There is now a walkway that you can hike that gets you much closer to the mountain.
Hmm, I haven't been there yet. I might go if there are other tourist attractions around there as well.

I think everyone in my family (theres's 6 of us all together) have been there but me i'm guessing one of these days i'll be free, and i'll visit there while i'm running around doing a excessive celebration

Seven years ago, we went on a family camping trip to Western Wisconsin. My son-in-law, not a geography genius, thought Mt Rushmore was closer than it really was, and that we should take a side trip to Western South Dakota. God touched my heart on that trip. I spent the next six summers in the Dakotas doing mission work on Reservations.
We have been there several times since we lived in Colorado and have family in ND and WI. I have been sorting through photos and it's fun to see the consistent Dad and two sons photos with Mt Rushmore in the background.
Never been, but would love to...I'm an Arizonian who still has yet to see the Grand Canyon...Sad, huh? =)
