  • Thanks for the info Randy… Havea great day. Ang

  • I think it depends on the rules
    and my mood

  • Interesting information.   Do you have the source you are getting it from, or are YOU the source of information?  Stuff like that fascinates me!

As far as rules, I am cool with them.  For me to walk outside an established set of rules is uncomfortable, as I know the rules are there for my safety, my well being.

    Love the cartoon!

  • No, my daughter doesn’t like having to keep her room clean and taking baths daily, but not following my rules isn’t an option

  • They are okay with following the rules most of the time.  When the rubber meets the road, then you find out what they’re made of – what they stand on.

  • The word “four” has 4 letters… hmmmmm

  • i’m sort of at that age where i’ll only follow the rules i want to. i’m twenty one, quite close to packing up and just moving out, and my parents, but nearly any standards, are a bit more than crazy with their rules. the reasonable ones i follow. the others don’t exist to me.

  • my kids are to young to follow rule more likely they don’t like to listen. as for me I do follow rules until it get out of hands then I do my own way.

  • Hey Randy!

     I’m back on xanga!!

  • They may not like following rules all of the time, but they understand WHY they need to. Some are better than others, but that’s how it goes, huh? =)

    Hugs!

  • My kids don’t care for rules too much.  Unless they can apply them to their siblings!    That’s when rules are best as far as they are concerned.  Me, I don’t care much for rules (red tape) either.

  • My kids never got a spanking — they didn’t need it. They knew if I said something — that was it. No fussin’ about it. My son, Eric, is an Assistant Professor now and teaches Pharmacy.  Apparently when his students start whining about something he shares that he was raised by a mother of German heritage — so, whining will get them no where! They knew what they were suppose to do and that’s that. ZIP YOUR LIP!!  I think that it is important that when you give your word – that you keep your word.  ~Carolyn

  • I do have a bit of a problem with the word “submission”. Might be why I am blessed with being single.

  • By the way, I had no idea you were a children’s pastor.. I just noticed it today…
    Excellent.

  • My son did follow the rule, but lately he has been arguing as how some of the rules are useless.  For example, he wants to take the bath right before going to bed where as until now he had to take a bath right after coming from school….like that and watching tv. reading books.

But Randy, I like the letter a son wrote…it really is true that worst thing can happen eventhough I do not accept the poor report card….

  • My kids are all grown and on their own. But they ALWAYS followed the rules better than I did. I really do try though. And I follow all the big, important ones.

Hope you are well and happy on this beautiful day!
