Enjoy
I’ve enjoyed this weekend. The past week has been intense, at time very tense. We’ve traveled several hours away from home and seen friends. The kids went swiming last night and today we’re planning on going to church, steak buffet and then traveling home. It’s been great.
My devotion today was in being in the “Sanctuary of God”. I felt so much graditude for the sense of heaven in my life. I so appreciate all the armed forces that has given me a country that I don’t have to always lock my doors.

Memorial Day use to be called Decoration Day
Waterloo N.Y. was officially declared the birthplace of Memorial Day by President Lyndon Johnson in May 1966.

I’m glad that things are going well for you this weekend! And I’ll be sure to say thank you to one of my friends who is in the Marine.
Glad your safe. Hope the rest of your traveling goes well. Ang
I am having a good weekend too, even if I am working.
I’m glad you’re having a good weekend. Steak Buffet, huh? Sounds like you’re in Aberdeen =), I’m glad you laughed at my blog. I thought it was funny too. I was so shocked though. Haha. I just revised the story a little. When I wrote it the first time I didn’t go into as much detail. Our landlords thought it was funny too….Haha…guess that’s a good thing!
Ahoy! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. And thank you for your time in serving and protecting our country.
By the way, I totally laughed when I read your post about what teachers mean. I’m going to pass it on to my teacher co-workers, if you don’t mind.
It’s hard to beat a steak buffet.
I am glad for you. May Many more blessings come your way.
I agree with you 100%.(on Judi’s site) I , too, hate war but….If we do nothing, we will lose our freedoms and…there are those who have the goal to destroy us and to do away with Christianity. We can’t negotiate and it’s those brave men and women who are willing to sacrifice. May God Bless them!
wasn’t there an old song that said,”waterloo, you’re my waterloo.” or maybe it just sounded like that. I remember November 11 used to be called Armestist day, too. We would stop what we were doing and face east and salute but we didn’t know why but something to do with the armed forces and then we would go back to playing.
No, I probably won’t do much. Do you have plans?
Have a safe weekend…
Glad you had a good weekend…..everyone needs time out to rest sometimes!
