    True Neighbors!

If Jesus were walking today, it might be like this:
Then Jesus said, “Which one of these three men (the Priest,
the Pastor, or the Gypsy) do you think showed love to the
man that was hurt by the robbers?” The teacher of the law
answered, “The one that helped him – the Gypsy.” Jesus said to him, “Then
you go and do the same {for other people}!”

                                — Luke 10:36-37

    KEY THOUGHT:
Who is our neighbor? Not someone who can do something FOR us, but the
one who has a need that Jesus can meet through us. Let’s be that
    neighbor today!

I’ll be taking several, 4-8 year olds to Day Camp tommorrow.  It’ll be fun.  Details soon.

  • enjoy the camp and hope the kids enjoy it as well

  • Hope you have some good weather for the day camp. Kids that age can be a lot of fun!

  • NICE post!

When I was very young, I met a police officer who was also a preacher. Anyhow…one day I asked him about love, he told me about how the bible said, believers will be known by the love for the “brethren.” I then said, well, I love my brothers, just not other people. He then laughed and said, ALL people are the “brethren.”

  • BTW, I like your optimistic outlook on taking those kids to day camp! I know plenty of people who see it as work.

    ENJOY your day!

  • sounds like fun tomorrow

  • pack a lot of snacks

  • I think it all got summed up earlier: love they brother as thyself.  Who is a brother, who is a neighbour?  We are all bro’s in the ‘hood and the neighbour is the person right next to you!
