Listening
Take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
I have found that most people do not listen well. Those people are 1 way communicators. They say what they want to say but aren’t too interested in the other person. Dale Carnegie in his book, “How to win friends and influence people”, said this: “If you want to be known as a great communicator be a good listener.”
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being a great listener), how would you rate yourself as a listener?

If it about something that matters then I’m a 9. But if it’s about meanings dribble then I’m about a 3. That’s something I need to work on.
I listen with distraction. If you are talking to me, make sure you have my attention.

I listen good, not only to the words…. it’s a gift
i’m a 10. i even ask my hubby and he said a 10 so i’m not bragging but the truth.
I don’t know. I listen is so many ways, not just with my ears. Yet, sometimes I miss something anyway.
Personally, I think I am a good listener….9 or 10.
But my kids say I am a selective listener. LOL
I would rate myself… 6.5. I think I listen okay, but I need to do it better. I like Carnegie – he’s great. Haha.

It’s nice to hear from you. Amen to the Bible! Since Jehovah doesn’t talk directly to us we need that, but even more importantly, we need the coming new world that many of His prophets spoke of. I am a good listener at work unless there is more than one person talking at a time, then I am a 0. What is it with people all talking at once. I ususally listen most to tone of voice and then to content. People say more with tone of voice than content.
a five and I know it and am working on it.I do try to read between the lines and hear what they are really saying so maybe I should get another point for that.

mmmmm…I’ll give 6 to me! Sometimes, what suggestion I give to others, it happens that they don’t like…..and to satisfy each and everyone is not easy!

I listen well…but sometimes I want to be listened to just like the way I am listening to them. And sometimes that really doesn’t happen.

For me it depends. If it’s listening to other people’s personal issues then I’m a 10. If it’s a straight-up lie, or an attempt at getting pity out of me, then a 1.
I’m a great listener, even though sometimes I feel I hear to much.
In an ideal world, things would be like that and the world would be near perfect. Key word being ideal. People are imperfect. If everyone decided to take this advice and improve thier imperfections, then we wouldn’t have drama…or reality tv to that matter.
Earn money when you meet your friends online. Invite your friends with a enormous life time commission. Little effort can bring you a full time job return!!!

funny cartoon,-). I think being a really good listener takes time…i always say if you want to know someone ask them questions about themselves…most people love that. You can learn all kinds of stuff, even things you dont want to….My husband always says i have a sign on my forehead that says,”im friendly,talk to me”,-) Considering God gave you two ears and only one mouth that should say something about what He wants us to do. Well got to go cook,broccoli soup,YUM!
About the vote….i would say 5..i still have a lot to learn about really putting myself out there and just letting people unload. Sometimes people dont want you to fix it,they only want you to be there!
