As a child….
I grew up in a gas station. I loved to go out in the back garage and play. My Dad put a lot of old car radios and parts out there. I would pretend I was in outer space traveling the universe. My imagination soared and I had a lot of great memories there.
What did you want to be when you were a child?

When I was really young, I wanted to be a cab driver…
I always thought driving would be the most fun thing to do… and to make money while you are doing it? Awesome….
Obviously, that ‘dream’ disappeared as I grew older.
A firefighter. I wanted to ride on the fire truck.
Your childhood sounds interesting… Feels so long ago, though
I wanted to be a writer, or a journalist. I’m some sort of a writer now, but not a journalist, definitely. Ha.
A fighter pilot. I have a longtime fascination with airplanes. Warplanes in particular. My favorite, the A-10 Warthog.
I’d very much like to be a chef and have a restaurant business.
But I don’t think this dream would materialize. This early, my parents would
like me to take up Industrial & Management Engineer, because my
father is into distribution and manufacturing business.
Have a nice day!!!

When I was a kid, I always wanted to be a doctor. I have two younger sisters, and I used them as my patients. I gave them REAL medicine. (the pink stuff and orange flavored cough syrup and all) I used the toilet plunger as a defibrilator to revive my “patients” from cardiac arrest. I used (this is bad) an old fashioned red rubber douche bag that I found in the bathroom, as an i.v. treatment on my patients. My poor sisters! My mom still knows the poison control center’s # by heart because she had to call it so many times after finding out I had given my sisters REAL medicine. She had to give them ipecec syrup or whatever to induce vomitting, and she EVEN MADE ME TAKE IT so I would vomit too (just as an EXTRA MEASURE even though I said I did NOT take any real medicine). I was BAD. LOL
I wanted to be as far away from the farm I lived on as possible. As soon as I was able, I married a soldier and left the farm and Wisconsin far behind. I don’t know if it was a good idea or not.
As a child, I always wanted to be a veternarian. I was raised on a farm in North Dakota and enjoyed all the animals. As I got in my teens, I always wanted to be a journalist. I loved writing. Well, neither of them were realized. I became a secretary and worked (various years) at a Christian organization – bank – lawyer’s office – another bank – and police department. However, the most rewarding job I ever had was becoming a mother and raising a daughter and a son, who have done well in their own lives. (They are probably going to operate on Kevin today.) ~Carolyn
I wanted to be a vet too, until I had to take algebra II….thanks for the prayers
i imagined being lots of things….but my dream was to be a veteranarian. my allergies prevented that tho….i worked a summer in an animal hospital and came home each day puffy and itchy. no fun
RYC: oh YES we still talk about it (and laugh)… i could have KILLED them, its scary!! We also talk about the other stuff I did to them, I also wanted to be a barber, so I cut off all their curls and hair, and they were nearly bald. I have some pictures of my sisters with very, very, very short hair (looked like a boy ) Man…. so many stories we have, hehehe.
We collect broken things like printers and radios and stuff because my boys are always taking things apart and I like for them to do it with something that is already broken. It helps keep some of our stuff intact, but not all of it…
I wanted to be all kinds of things: a paleontologist, a teacher, a professional baseball player, an actress, an artist, a gymnast, a writer, and probably more that I can’t remember. It all depended on the year, the sports’ season, the topic in school, etc. When I became a Christian at the age of 16, I knew God wanted me to be a stay-at-home mom — something that EVERYBODY thought was a complete waste of my intelligence. But, as always, He knows best. And in the process of being a mom, I’ve also been able to fulfill some of my other childhood dreams. “He knows the plans He has for us …”
In all seriousness, a trashman. I used to wake up early to see the trashman. Every day.
i could never do it now. but i hear it pays good money. i think it just seemed interesting to ride on a truck for a living, ha.
