  • Day Off

Day off today.  I might be strange but I look forward to doing our finances.  I love it.  I love it so much I do it for 3 other people.
My plans today:  I’m going to look for a new recipe and cook it today.  -possibly home made ravioli.
I’m going to listen to a lot of the Old Testament.  King Solomon amazes me.
I’m going to watch at least 1 Star Trek and 1 Mash.

What do you do on your day off?

  • You sound like my dad, except for the cooking part. Hehe!

On my day off, I sleeeeeeeeeeeep. I so need it.

  • To Die for Pot Roast

    1 (3 to 4 pound) chuck roast
1 package Good Seasons Italian Dressing mix (dry)
1 package brown gravy mix (dry)
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Mix (dry)
    1/2 cup warm water

Mix all dry packages of mixes together (don’t add any liquid) and rub down the roast.
Spray crock pot with non=stick spray and put roast in.
Sprinkle remainder of mix on top of roast.
Pour 1/2 cut water around the roast.
I turn to high for a couple of hours, then down to low for about 4 hours.
This is so good…It makes its own gravy, so there is plenty for mashed taters.

  • Hey you wanna do my finances all the way over in AZ? Lol.

On my day off, I will usually clean, do laundry, and homework. Yes, I know fun stuff.

  • This recipe is so easy to make and if you like pot roast, you will REALLY like this.  It’s a no brainer.  And, that is very kind of you to help others with their finances.  Do you train/teach them how to manage their finances also?

  • Sleep in, read, watch a movie, xanga.  Really, whatever catches my fancy at the time!

  • Sounds like a good plan! Day off? What’s that?

  • I pretend to be sleeping beauty. I do very well with it until it is time for Prince Charming to do his thing.

  • Can you email me some ravioli for lunch?

  • I plan to do nothing on this day off.  You are busy enough for both of us.

  • maybe you feel that you have some control over it then .that is weird.

also your dad sounds good to me.

  • A couple of my friends are trying to persuade me to join track… but I haven’t decided yet.
    And thanks!

  • I think people can get so overwhelmed and discouraged with finances.  Money is such an emotional thing, and that’s where we get in trouble.  So, imho, when we have trouble in other areas, it reflects in how we handle our money.  Pastor always says, “Want to see someone’s life?  Look at their checkbook.”  That is very nice of you to help people out, and good of those who realize they need help.  I do the old envelope method.  I know it’s cave mannish, but it works for me.  Plus, afer my ex filed b/r, it ruined my credit.  I can’t even have a checking acct anymore.

  • on my day off I usually have to mow the lawn (untill the end of october anyway) and do the laundry and give the dogs a bath……I’m thankful to have all these things to do…..

Here’s a easy recipe for a great chicken salad:

2 and 1/2 cups roasted chicken chopped fine / 1/2 cup mayo 1/2 cup sour cream / 1/2 cup of halved seedless grapes (tart is best) / 1/2 cup chopped nuts (I like cashews) /1 tablespoon lime juice salt and pepper to taste….

    enjoy your day off….

  • I wash my dishes, do the homework I couldn’t finish during the week and I hope that I’ll catch up on some sleep.

Celebrities wouldn’t do as much crap and try to get away with so much if it didn’t get so much attention.

  • I do love to run. I’ve just never been a part of Track so it sort of makes me nervous.

  • Homemade ravioli…yum! I like to relax and spend time with the kids on my days off =).   You like doing finances, huh? Hmmm…maybe I will have you help me with a budget, haha.    $350 car payments, rent, utilities, car insurance, etc. etc. makes one want to scream, haha.

  • Have a nice day ahead!

  • im a grammatical person….and unless that had spiritual meaning, it makes no sense at all. Sake and disciple would both be nouns, therefore the apostrophe would remain in the same place… Am I wrong, or I am missing something. Haha, sorry, like I said, grammar freak…not so much online, but I am. Explanation?
