Several churches will come together tonight to have our annual Hallelujah  Fest.  It’s great.  There are many games that the kids can do.  They always get more candy than if they go door to door.  Right in the middle of the room is the favorite of the kids.  The Pastor tells stories that are based on the gospel.

Publishers Marketplace describes the book – set to go on sale in early 2008 – as “Lynne Spears’s personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community.”

(Britney has only recently allowed Lynne back into her troubled life after a lengthy period of estrangement.)

A young minister, in the first days of his first parish, was obliged to call upon the widow of an eccentric man who had just died.

I’m all types of Christian Music.  What are you? 

I’m making Phillipino Pork Adobo tonight.  It brings back memories because when I was in the Navy in San Diego, I would take the public bus to the plasma center.  I would give blood and use the money to go across the street to a Phillipino Restaurant. Then I would go back to the ship.  That was my Saturday entertainment for many months.   

Women Drivers

I tell you, women drivers are a hazard to traffic. Driving to work this morning on the freeway, I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a Mustang doing 65 miles per hour with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner!

I looked away for a couple seconds and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane.

It scared me so bad I dropped my electric shaver in my coffee, and it spilled all over my cell phone!

When I look at the history of Texas, I’m amazed.  The slaughter at the Alamo lead to victory at San Jacinto.  Texans were running away in what was called the Runaway Scrape.  The Texan army commanded by Sam Houston was small in comparison to Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna’s army.  Mexican arrogance won the battle for the Texans.  Sam Houston was concerned that his own army would run from the battle, like they had done previously.  To ensure that would not happen Sam Houston had brought his army to a place of no escape.  Trapped in by two rivers, Sam Houston had the bridge burned and  planned his attack.  Santa Anna knew that the Texans were trapped and planned to attack, but he and     his army would siesta first.  Sam Houston attacked and the rest is history.  I believe God will lead us to a place of no escape and the defeat the enemy by our desperation of survival.  They shouted, “Remember the Alamo”.  We should shout, “Remember the cross”.
