Out of step
In my job I run across people that were or now on drugs. I can’t get the image out of my mind of what happened the other night. I got a call in the middle of the night of a person who was so terrified of doors opening, snakes crawling and such. It took a long time to calm this person down. -drugs & alcohol did it. (Police were notified & the person was taken to the ER)
The Wolf And The Lamb
Wolf came upon a Lamb straying from the flock, and felt some compunction about taking the life of so helpless a creature without some plausible excuse; so he cast about for a grievance and said at last, “Last year, sirrah, you grossly insulted me.”
”That is impossible, sir,” bleated the Lamb, “for I wasn’t born then.”
”Well,” retorted the Wolf, “you feed in my pastures.”
”That cannot be,” replied the Lamb, “for I have never yet tasted grass.”
”You drink from my spring, then,” continued the Wolf.
”Indeed, sir,” said the poor Lamb, “I have never yet drunk anything but my mother’s milk.”
”Well, anyhow,” said the Wolf, “I’m not going without my dinner”: and he sprang upon the Lamb and devoured it without more ado.Moral: He who looks to do evil at any excuse, will do evil with no excuse.
Hut-2-3-4….
As he was drilling a batch of recruits, the sergeant saw that one of them was marching out of step. Walking up next to the man as they marched, he said sarcastically: “Do you know they are all out of step except you?”
“What?” asked the recruit innocently.
“I said — they are all out of step except you!” thundered the sergeant.
The recruit replied, “Well, sarge, you’re in charge — you tell them!”

Yep! so true. Thanks for sharing. I always think why people go for drugs even when they know it is bad. Just for little fun, why we all risk our lives?
Bless U!
So sad to see people hurting and confused. Hope this person can find some answers.
Sounds like the phrase I heard in a sermon, “If you are justifying an action you know is wrong, then you are about to sin.”
Hopefully that person finds that the void that they were trying to fill can only be filled through Jesus. I find it amazing how many people reject the church up to a point of where they are in dire straights. Of course, this also puts a burden upon Christians to be proactive in that regard.
have a pretty wkend!
I have never done drugs but have seen the effect it has had on people when I did nursing.
So your wife collects some neat statues. I love precious moments.
I do love my ceramics and am waiting for some to be fired.
Have a good one. I have work to do. I get some new drawers
put in this weekend. since I have some new parts.
Since it quit raining I get to finish moving some stuff.
Our drug problem seems to be growing, seeing more pregnant patients using. It’s frustrating because we don’t have a hospital policy on screening and to be honest most of the doctors don’t want to mess with it (testing, reporting). We have Garrett’s law in Arkansas, but depending on the county the mother lives in, we’ve seen different responses from that DHS office. It affects people from all walks of life.
Have a great weekend…………
That is so very sad. We’re really blessed not to be that guy. It is only a fine line that separates us from them, and I thank God every day that I am not an addict of any kind. (Well, except for chocolate, and I’m working on that one.) It is not cool to judge; I think we should pity and be grateful.
I will never go into drugs. So sad drug addiction is pervasive.
Thank you so much for sharing this story.
Have a pleasant day!
lol.. I like that last one!
Great stories. I like the first one. I guess some just get eaten whether they like it or not.
Sad,-( I worked a detox unit for a year and ER…Its sad when you want drugs more then your kids, family…when your willing to steal from your those you hold dear.
as for the story..it is his nature. The human heart without Jesus Christ runs to destruction.
