  • They’re either violent / silly / time-wasting, or all three at once. I dislike games.

  • From what I’ve SEEN, I wish they never existed (the GAMES.)

  • I can’t say I blame a game on lack of judgement a parent uses with their children to allow them to play them.  Most parents will do whatever a child wants anymore just to shut them up… no matter how harmful it might be.

But then again some states are passing out Birth Control pills, without parents knowledge or approval to 11 and 12 year olds…. what does that say about our society.

And we wonder why Islam hates us… for our decadent moral behaviour and decline

  • my kids are playing guitar hero….so i don’t mind that at all :)

  • I am horrified by the graffic nature of some of these games.  It is horrible and I don’t think that our children should be exposed to such things.  It glorifies violence and hate.  I don’t believe in children playing with guns and I don’t believe they should be playing video games that contain guns or violence.  There is enough of that stuff in real life.

  • Our kids are getting fatter and brain dead.

  • i think call of duty is too real for me.  i’m ok with playing the fictional games, such as halo, but COD is just too real and too graphic for me.  i really do think they should put the AO (adults only) label on some of these games.  it’s just not suitable for kids these days.

  • What happened to making mud pies…playing tag….hide-n-seek….one potato-two potato….you know what I mean!

  • I just got my niece and nephew some at a garage sale and I found out that if it has an E on the back down in the corner it means for everybody. I got 2 for $3 and my brother said that they have been wanting those ones so I did good.

  • What they are playing are not called “GAMES”(to me). Satan is on the loose.
Some think that what the kids / teens are doing with these “GAMES” is harmless.
    It’s just a “game.” I think not.

I think what these “games” are doing… is feeding the kids voilence. They could act out what they are so call playing. I pray that they don’t.

RYC: I am praying for you. We have a faithful Father God.
HE will see you through. Amen!  Peace is yours.

  • It just depends on the maturity level of your own kids…in my opinion.  My kids love guitar hero.  Good ol fashion rock and roll !!

  • These are the same games that the military uses to train soldiers.

  • When I was a teen, I played “Wolfenstein 3-D.”  Basically one of the original games in the line of Halo and COD.  I played it in conjunction with my dad sometimes.

I think it’s a matter of the upbringing of the child, and the child’s personality as well as their tendencies towards violence.  I knew that Wolfenstein was a game, nothing more.   That’s how my parents raised me.

There are games that kid’s should not see the light of day regardless of their maturity level.  Last Christmas I helped a mom find the “50 Cent” game (though I didn’t work at the store) who she was getting for her teenage son even with the “Mature” rating on it.  At that point, it is the parent’s responsibility to say, “No, I don’t think so.”  regardless of how much the kids ask for it.  It is more geared for adults who like to play.  Who can, or should, distinguish “real” and “fiction.”

We obviously have to be careful what we feed our minds as well as our childrens.

  • i wish more teens went outside instead of played video games.

  • most of them have no point.  My parents never let me have them.  I’ve turned out ok.

  • Mine are into Guitar Hero and NHL ……… ok, well so am I- with Guitar Hero anyway…. the hockey is just tooooo fast for me to keep up with. So I’m lucky in that I’ve not had to deal with some of the stuff out there now.

….And we did have many a late weekend night staying up getting through all the levels of Super Mario back when they were younger ( and I was better at the ‘games’)

  • We’re raising up a generation of warriors…..too bad we’re trying to be more peaceful.

  • i draw a pretty strict line on what they watch, listen to, and play. however, mine are still babies (10 and under). some stuff is so realistic, it’s scary. we never know what is truly behind some of that stuff. some may say it’s harmless fun, to that i say, more power to ya. i just don’t know how people cannot be affected by it.

  • I don’t want my future children to play violent games. That’s how I feel about it.
