The Deal
A young boy had just gotten his driving permit. He asked his father, who was a minister, if they could discuss the use of the car. His father took him to his study and said to him, “I’ll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up, study your bible a little and get your hair cut and we’ll talk about it.”
After about a month the boy came back and again asked his father if they could discuss use of the car. They again went to the father’s study where his father said, “Son, I’ve been real proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you’ve studied your bible diligently, but you didn’t get your hair cut!”
The young man waited a moment and replied, “You know Dad, I’ve been thinking about that. You know, Samson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair….”
To which his father replied….”Yes, and they WALKED everywhere they went!”Interesting Facts

Here’s a study saying that most Americans don’t read anymore.
Do you read books? If so approximately how many books a year?
(Personnally I read all the time. I read at least a book a month, sometimes more.)

As a matter of fact, I did just read ONE book and I’m going through ANOTHER…..
RYC- only a DUSTING. It melted QUICKLY, BTW……
Cute JOKE up there!!!! Hahaha
I try to go through at least one per month. I’ve been slacking as of late. Time hasn’t been friendly as of late. Probably something I need to schedule into my life!
I love reading more than any other hobby I have
I read everyday. I have to, for my sanity. Hehe.
That joke is good. I’ve read it elsewhere.
I read more then you but I don’t want to brag.
that was funny about the walking everywhere
wish I had invented velcro or anything.lol
I keep several books in the car. I eat out alone a lot. I will not eat if I do not have a book to read. I have bathroom readers in the bathroom.
I use to read all the time for pleasure, then I had four kids and I read to them everyday, now they are all grown and I never seem to have the time to read more than the National Geographic each month…..That was a funny Joke…..
I don’t read as much as I would like. If you count the children’s books then I read a few books a week. LOL If you don’t count them I probably read about 3 or 4 a year. I don’t get much time between work, kids and hubby.
“The Deal” … hahaha, I love that story!
that is a good come back from the dad..lol
i love to read..in two week i like to check out 4-5books at a time depend if they have the authors i like, mostly my books are fictions..
Since I belong in two book clubs now I have to read two books a month. Then I usually read my other books like James Patterson for fun and not for discussion. So approximately 30 books a year. Wish it was more!!
I love to read. Don’t know how many books I read a year, but it slows down during the school year. I do read all summer.
Thank you for my very first mini ever!

I don’t read as much as I used to, I’m reading two books at the same time now though.
Hilarious…love it!!!
I “wish” I had more time to read…I prob. read approx. 5-6 books a yr. Gen. I take the time to read when a new John Grisham book comes out. Smiles.

Reading books…is a challenge for me. I start one and lost interest.
But I can read a BOOK of the Bible over and over again with interest.
Have A GREAT Day! :0)
Yup, I read books, about 6 books a month if I have enough time. I used to read alot more though.
