We had a great birthday party last night for Noah.  I’m working hard to “celebrate”.  I’m personally not too good at it because I’m a task orientated person.  We have Austin’s birthday next Friday and Alisha’s the following week.

    Are you a good celebrator?

  • Who did the DRAWING of you and your wife?

  • I’m not too much on celebration.  Even though my name is Mary, I’m a Martha.  I can so relate to her.  I am praying you and your family are safe and warm this weekend as your winter storm blows through.  My daughter in Iowa was stocking up last night on ice and batteries.

  • hahaha the third one is super cute with the cake
I’m good at celebrating.. I have fun but I usually manage to not take it too far. Sometimes I have trouble “letting loose”; I’m a little shy.

  • I love the drawing!!!

Whats wrong with celebrating!??! I absolutely love having a house full!! even if I have so little room we end up sitting on the floor :P …or the kids little tikes chairs, thats happened a few times too! I think though, this year, I will have my daughters 4th birthday at mcdonalds too, they have the playplace, and, Im expecting about 10 kids LOL!!! AND, its in FEB, so too cold to do it outdoors! BERRRR!

  • i love to celebrate!  whether it be a small child’s birthday, a get together with friends from high school (we are still pretty close, even after 20 years), a church fellowship supper,  a work related party.  my favorite place to celebrate though is at church.  there is nothing like experiencing the joy of the Lord when the Spirit inhabits…

  • who did that cute portait of you and the wife?  I’m getting too old but hopefully I can get up some energy when a grandkid comes along someday.  It is so important to the child that you have to muster up some excitement and remember how you were at that age.  Sometimes I would be allowed to go to the 5-10 store and mother would let me pick out anything for my birthday and I’m still doing that myself but now at Cracker Barrell. Do you have those where you live?

  • RYC: EEK! Thats one of my pet peeves, people NOT doing what they say theyre going to do….in general, and whats worse? when people bail at the last second…and STILL even worse?? bail without even CALLING or anything.

  • ryc:  sorry, it doesn’t really irritate cats…they dig it.  :)    especially when they snag it, and trust me, they’re very adept at snagging things. the movements in the cat’s body is like watching ballet. it’s awesome.

  • ryc:  LOL…what’s not to love about a cat.

but, sorry, they are the bosses. you’d have to convince me you are the boss of a cat. they’re extremely independent, as you know. ;)

  • oh, i know!  that’s the most awful thing, when the cat drops a bird at the threshhold of your door, then they expect to be praised for it. i keep their belled collars on for that very reason, when they go outside.

  • I dont have anything THAT important going on, BUT, when my friends make arrangements for playdates and stuff for the kids, When they dont show up, MY KIDS’ feelings are hurt, or my dad, hes one of those guys that you just have to hope and pray he comes through…I feel like, if you DONT want to do it, DONT VOLUNTEER or make the plans ya know?

  • Lots of birthdays! That’s awesome.

  • Yes, I celebrate. It is a good thing to do.
    I celebrate in Church too.

Lots of birthdays in our family.
    Different celebration come in birthdays.

  • I am not really sure what the feeligns are for me.. i know i can truly love i am capable of that.. because i am in lvoe right now.. but its with a man that understands me and is helping me through the pain.. its hard to explain. .everyone else seemed to run away when i would try to work through it
but he stays right beside me as i work everything out.. needless to say i am about to post the next part.. trust me its heart wrenching.. take care of those kids.. becuase let me tell you if they dont get to talk abotu the details or know that its not thier fault and that they are truly loved .. it gets harder as they get older.. every time i wanted to talk abotu it with my mother
she would tell me to shut up and act like nothing ever happened..but then again it was partially her fault,..

  • We have december bdays too. They cut into holiday time. I celebrate birthdays beautifully. I’m not so good with commerical holidays… Still no christmas spirit…

  • kalli is a cutie girl.

i can do multitask when it come celebrating but with small girls alway stopping me while doing something is hard to get it done

  • Sometimes I am a good celebrator; sometimes I’m too busy.  Mary sometimes and Martha at other times, I guess.  Hope your other parties are good ones!

  • Awww. The pictures are beautiful. You have a foster baby? How sweet! And the drawing of you and wifey is beautiful, too. I love celebrating But I’m not a big party person, though I can do it. I prefer small gatherings, ya know?

RYC: I was talking about India Indian food It’s really delicious. The curries are superb. Ever tried it? You’ve gotta try Asian food in Asia, not in the States Hehe!

  • Ahh a McDonalds birthday party! How fun ( my hubbie is an area supervisor of three stores so I am thinking Amber will have lots of those type of parties )

Celebrate: I can celebrate as long as I am with the right people, if I fear judgement I find it hard to let my hair down. I am pretty task oriented myself… and a planner too!

  • I love to celebrate but I tend to put too much pressure on myself to make everything perfect.

  • RYC: Wow! I knew I liked you for a good reason My dad is a Navy man too! That’s really neat! Boy I guess Mickey d’s is a good place to find your soul mate huh! LOL

  • Celebrating is fun if its for someone else. I hate it when its is for me. It usually makes me miserable.
