  • Today's Cartoon
I rarely use the word busy because to me it says: “You are not my priority.”  But this week has been one of those weeks.  We’ve had something almost every night and it’s not letting up until next Thursday.  We celebrated Christmas at Kim’s mom last night.  I enjoyed it.
The stress level has raised a little, well sometimes a lot during this Christmas season.
Has your December been stressful for you?

  • Guess hardest part about this month is trying to deal with the fact that my parents are getting older and are not as independent as they think they are and it takes me 8hrs more or less to get to their house.

  • Yup!  But fun too!

  • Yes, in so many ways…
I am learning more as the days go by.

Have A NICE Stress Free Day & Wonderful Weekend!

    Blessings,
    Susie :0)

  • No, Not particularly,but I love shopping!
    God Bless,
    Kelly

  • mine has been crazy!

have a very merry christmas !!!!

  • that is cause you have all the kids.  I have been pretty much myself but I’m always stressed for some reason.

  • I start my shopping early and never leave things to the last minute and that seems to eleviate most of the stress of Christmas to me.  I enjoy doing the decorating, cards, shopping, I even baked this year.

  • I try not to tell the girls Im busy when they want me to do something, I usually tell them “hold on mommys working on something real quick” Its basically the same thing, but doesnt sound as close to “im too busy for you” lol!….

I think this has SERIOUSLY been the MOST busy december Ive EVER had…Even when I was pregnant with HAYLEY, in the 03′ winter, atleast she wasnt due till Feb! Arianna is due RIGHT after christmas, So with all the baby readying, and christmas shopping and cleaning and cooking (for gifts) and putting gifts together, Its been SO stinkin crazy!! Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday. I love everything about it, EVEN the crowds and chaotic shoppers! Its just part of the season, But Ive NEVER in my life been SO ready for christmas to just be over! I feel kinda guilty for that. afterall, It is Jesus’ birthday were celebrating.

  • Not really.  I wouldn’t call it stress, but feelings of sadness. My first Christmas w/o my parents.  They are spending their First Christmas in Heaven.

  • RYC: Like I said, Im one of the few people that just doesnt let him get to me, My mom does something aweful. (Theyre actually divorced, but, still “hang out” lol) But I basically just blow him off. As do alot of other intelligent people :)

  • Thank you for the kinds words, and the mini!

Yes, my December has been stressful, but last night I went to the Myerson Symphony for their Christmas concert, and all of a sudden, I felt so relaxed and peaceful…music does that to me!  I try to let those I love know that my priority is them, every chance I get!  Hugs and Merry Christmas, Randy, Lauren

  • I thrive on Christmas….love it but do get a little tired….It’s always a disappointment when it’s over.  We need to find something else to look forward to.

  • Working 2 jobs while a son tries to find one of his own… both jobs are crazy busy and I get no time off.  So YES, this is a stressful month!  LOL

  • my december has been just crazy!  i thrive on it though.  it’s like the busier i am, the more i seem to get done sometimes.  so glad to get off work today and realize that i didnt have to go back until wenesday.  woohoo!!!!!!!!!

  • i am not stressed. there has been a lot more going on this month than any other month in the year. we had a christmas banquet at church. sunday school christmas parties, women’s christmas meeting(none of the above i was able to attend) but there were a few things i was able to attend. this month has been trying for my children’s health because of the weather changing from late fall and then back to spring and then to winter and then to spring again and then to fall and slowly back to winter…we have had two children with ear infections and as they were recovering from that, one ended up with pneumonia (my 2.5 year old), the other with a terrible cold in her chest, and now we all have a head cold. it’s pretty bad when your two year old comes to you and says, “mama, i need a breathing treatment.” and yes she did say that tonight. but i am not stressed until my two older ones start fighting like cats and dogs and trying to tear each other’s hair out. no i am not stressed. can i stress that enough. i can only say that now because they are in bed and no longer trying to rearrange each other’s faces. they know all too well when i am tired and not wanting to deal with that sort of behavior. ok, sorry for too much information…but i was reflecting on so much there. and that doesn’t tell it all. thanks for the outlet.

  • December hasn’t been too bad for me… but the last seven days OH MY YES! Three visits for a Root canal… one doc couldn’t do it, sent me to a specialist… the specialist let the novicaine wear off and ignored me when I screamed in pain and then I had a uterine biopsy and on the very last day… my third day of root canal… my daughter was up the entire night with a tummy ache…today I sprained my ankle and  now I have two days and I will have two full Christmas’s at my house! UG! Yeah… uh.. stressful and painful. In fact, if you wouldn’t mind, say a prayer for my daughter to sleep the next two nights please… just get through Christmas or I am going to fall apart. I would really really appreciate it.

I hope your Christmas goes really well!

God Bless you and your family! Oh and I e-mailed that cartoon to my mom! I can totally see my daughter doing that in a couple years! LOL
