Nigerian mothers strap their babies to their backs.  I did see a lot of young girls holding their baby sister/brother like this also.  One interesting note:  I heard very few Nigerian babies cry.

I asked the kids on Wednesday night if they knew what a warthog was.  Many did not.  I then asked them if they knew “Bumba”.  All of them knew Bumba.  We stayed one place that had a lot of warthogs and baboons.

We did Kid’s Church one Sunday while we were in Nigeria.  This is only a small portion of the kids and Children’s Workers that attended.

Things in Nigeria move very slowly.  No one is in a hurry at all.  When we stopped for gas at one station it took us nearly a half an hour to get it.

Many people carry things on thier heads.  Of course this is bannanas.HPIM1618
This was very common.  People carried a lot of things on small motorcycles.  I would of loved to get a picture of the goats being carried on motorcylcles but was unable. Yes, goats were carried on motorcycles.  It saw up to 5 people on one of these small cycles.

A lot of cults in Nigeria.  The cults take the children and the children become demon possessed.  The Nigerians then call these children “Contaminants”.

Gas was 70 nira a liter.  = 280 nira a gallon  Conversion: $2.70 US a gallon.   There were always really long lines at all the gas stations.  I saw a lot of cars being pushed into the gas stations.
