AFRICA
We had our Children’s Converence here In Nigeria. It was amazing to see the excitement on the Nigerian faces as we brought new ideas to them. -puppets, balloons, paper tricks. They are like little children. My daughter, Alicia gave out a lot of candy. I think she’s given out more candy to the adults than she has to the children. They are so appreciative of anything they can get. I won’t be able to respond to anyone because internet and electricy is so rare over here. It goes out a lot. Sometimes we’re in the dark until the generators come on. There are many people that are homeless and simply don’t have electricty. I seen a lot of street kids. We can’t take pictures down town because of the danger of doing it. Nigeria is a country of violence. We don’t go out after dark too often. I still have another week over here. I bought Nigerian clothes. – very comfortable. We’re going on a safari on Monday & Tuesday. I’ll looking forward to that.

The safari shld be fun. I hope you can sneak in S0ME pictures
But be safe!
Pictures are not as important as you being safe. Enjoy doing the work you are there to do! Soooo are you going to wear your Nigerian clothes on your first Sunday back in South Dakota?
ha…I laugh because clothes I have ever bought in other countries rarely seems to translate and look more like a costume here in the states. Still, I think you can pull it off…
I love hearing about this…blessings and be safe, my friend! Lauren
Godspeed!!

With prayers,

It’s difficult to explain the differences of the culture of another country… it must be experienced
My prayers for your safety will ride on the smoke of offerings to my Creator…. Be safe
street kids,that is so sad.
Living in another country can definitely put a different spin on how we see ourselves and our “lack” here in America. I am praying for your safety just now as I finish this comment. I hope that you will be sharing some great pix when you get back to the U.S. (Including the Nigerian clothes… they are beautiful . . . both for the women and for the men!) Blessings to you & your team… Carolyn

God led me to give you this message today and I do not know why.
If you do please come and share with me how He used the following to encourage you in some way.

“Praise ye the LORD.”
This exhortation is never given too often;
the Lord always deserves praise,
we ought always to render it,
we are frequently forgetful of it,
and it is always well to be stirred up to it.
Praying blessings on the remainder of your trip! I can’t wait to hear all the stories you’ll have to share!
i can only imagine how many hearts you are touching in the name of Jesus!!!
Hope the remainder of your trip is pleasant and safe.
