Along the same theme as the cartoon ……
I don’t talk about politics too much but I’m curious.
Who would you like to see as the next President and why?

  • Well, I was cheering for, voting for Duncan Hunter . . . because he was the best and stood for basically everything I thought was good and upright . . . now that he’s dropped.

Probably gonna be Willard Milton Romney . . .

  • Mike Huckabee personally.  A lot of what he see’s as important, I see as important.  To me, that’s important (duh!).

We’ll see in the coming months what happens.  Actually, more like the coming weeks….

  • Oh I couldn’t tell you, I haven’t kept up with their platforms. Which is fine because I’m not American :)

  • RYC:  I agree.

  • That’s funny I was wondering about that the other day so I read up on it. Our next federal election is on or before October 19, 2009. Our government is in minority with the conservatives running the show right now, but if a motion of confidence is proposed and fails (those in parliament vote that they do not have confidence in the current government), an election will come sooner.

  • Anyone who will get rid of “No Child Left Behind”

  • I’m not sure yet, I’m leaning towards Huckabee. But I need to sit down and figure out what everyone is for/against. I’ve got till Feb. 5th to figure it out. That is when the primaries are here in Arizona. Although, I hear McCain is doing well. He is from AZ.

    Have a great day!

  • There’s no one in the race whom I would be truly comfortable with as president. After we see who gets the nomination on each side, I’ll just pick the lesser of the evils. If Hillary gets the nomination, I’ll probably vote Republican… but that’s as far as I’ve really gotten in the decision making process so far.

  • My exhusband because it would be interesting to see the man get a job.

  • I guess Bill Clinton for a third term

  • I’ve been keeping up with your Nigeria posts, looks like a very interesting time! =)

hmm, I was leaning towards Obama until I saw that he is pro-choice (and he doesn’t have a firm stand against gay marriage.) Now I am pretty much okay with anyone except Hillary!

  • I think maybe someone with the personality of Hagar the Horrible.

  • RYC: I was SO dissapointed when I had planned on buying those pictures, and we ended up not having the money to pay for them (the package of 16 wallets and 8 5x7s was 100.00) BUT!!! I was dissapointed for no reason…the package I got ended up being free because she was the new years baby ;) I was excited then!!! I really can imagine what people thought when they saw “Baby Tramp” ;)    We had her name picked out already, so she was “Arianna Mofford” from the get go :)

  • RYC- It is just like the analogy says. Every child must be at the same level. And not all children are the same, some are better at one thing, some better at another. Some come to school speaking no English (in third grade) and some come with parents who have read to them since the day they were born. Some come having a big breakfast and warm bed and some come from a drug house with parents up all night screaming. And yet, they all must be proficient by May 1st. And there is no money attached to help if they are not. But they will take money away. So if you have a school in a low neighborhood, with many kids that need extra help, well they won’t give you money to help them. They will put you in “Program Improvement”. At the rate they are going by the way 80% of all schools will be in “Program Improvement” in the next five years.

  • Some one ask me this same question at Church on Sunday.
Who would you like to see as the next President…

    You added and why?
I cannot believe that we vote THIS YEAR for the next President.
Politics who has $$$ and power most likely to be the one?

I have not decided yet on who I will vote for…
We vote on Super Tuesday here in MO.
    Blessings to you…   :0)

  • I was leaning toward Thompson until he dropped out.  (I think it’s time we have someone stable and boring for President.)  Now I’m simply going to vote for the lesser of two evils (Republican), which just makes me cringe inside.  May God have mercy on us.

Your posts on Africa have been very interesting.  Going to another country always gives a person a new perspective on their own nation and culture.

  • Even if I figure out who thinks the closest to the way I do, I have doubts about them being true to their platform.  What can they say to win the majority?  America is blessed and hopefully, whoever is elected won’t do too much damage in the next 4 years.  I don’t think the world is ready for Hilary… can’t you just see the middle east leader’s reactions if she won?  Hoo wee

  • Someone who will not endorse killing unborn babies to keep Hollywood happy.  Tuesday at the primary, I plan to vote for my old Gov. Mike.

  • funny enough, im writing an article for the paper on this right now. I would like Obama to become president. A big one for me is capital punishment, though he isnt completely against it, he is the most against it. If Clinton were to take office, I wouldnt be upset. But if Huckabee does, I’m moving to Iceland. Romney I can live with. McCain needs to chill a bit.

  • How about a true conservative… not a lot of choices… hum….. not McCaine
