In the south, we have the saying, "Bless her heart" usually following a putdown. "She sure has gained weight, bless her heart" or "Her kids have to be the ugliest on the block, bless her heart". It's as though saying it makes everything else all right. I know it doesn't.
Ahhh road rage... A family friend of mine has the worst I've ever seen... Or, heard, rather.
When I start driving I shall scream holy things at her when we meet on the road. Hmm..
