  • This is our garage going down at our other place.  It’s a House of Hope for women who need a place to live.

I thought the wall would fall the wrong way and hit the new garage. But it didn’t.

Alicia, my daughter, was so happy she could actually be the one that brought the garage down.

Austin was able to do a little demolition himself.  He was grinning ear to ear.  Then he went and looked for snakes. Found several also.

Kali had to check out the garage. There’s me in the back ground.  We had to seperate all the wood from the brick.  I’m glad we had a lot of helpers.

Noah had to get in the rubbish.

    We’re working really hard.

  • Tribe

    UNCONTACTED TRIBE’ SIGHTED IN AMAZON

Dramatic photographs have emerged from Brazil, showing a rare tribe thought to have had no contact with the outside world.

Taken from a small airplane, the photos show men outside thatched communal huts, necks craned upward, pointing bows toward the air in a remote corner of the Amazonian rainforest.

What do you think is going through their minds?

  • Immagration

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American…There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language… and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

    Theodore Roosevelt 1907

  • Gas Prices

Here’s a web site that you can put your zip code in and find the lowest gas prices in your area: GAS

  • Niccolò Machiavelli has become a symbol of expediency, of a life in which people do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. His writings have inspired many dictators and callous business practices. Believing that the end justifies the means, his writings are filled with a cold-blooded ruthlessness.

Machiavelli wrote, “Men must either be caressed or else annihilated.” He encouraged leaders to be careful before extending help: “Whoever is the cause of another becoming powerful, is ruined himself.” He warned against appearing to be too merciful, and said leaders “must not mind incurring the charge of cruelty” if they feel it is necessary.

Today, many people live according to Machiavellian principles. However, the Bible provides a different worldview: God is the Creator, and He established the world with eternal standards. Also, the Bible teaches that God promises consequences for our actions…we Reap what we Sow.

In Psalm 15, David revealed a way of living that centers on God…one that allows us to abide in His tent and dwell on His holy hill. People who follow this way of living walk with integrity, choosing to do the right thing, without compromising. Such people are honorable, trustworthy, faithful, and responsible. They speak truth and don’t lie, deceive, or gossip. They refuse to believe that the end justifies the means. They despise evil, seek to serve God, and cannot be bribed or bought!

Today, seek to abide with God. Enter into His Presence and spend time in fellowship with Him. Be committed to His Kingdom, and choose to live according to His principles. He promises great rewards when you do! You’ll have the joy of intimate fellowship with Him, and you will “never be shaken” (v. 5). by David Cerullo

  • Pain

We have a graduation party to go today. It’s in the park, so hopefully it doesn’t rain.

Pain helps our faith to flower.   Anything that is worth much in this life will cause us pain.  I’m not speaking only of physical pain.  I’m speaking of a pain that comes from passion.  -a pain that causes the roots of our heart to go deep.  When those roots hit the voice of God; faith springs forth & produces life.

  • Foster Child – Ryan

We’ve had many foster children in our home over the past decade.  One particular foster child was a Native American named Ryan.  He changed us.    We almost didn’t have him come in our home because we were in crisis.  Our oldest daughter was hospitalised in Guadamala on a missions trip.

Here is a poem I wrote after Ryan left us.

    Quiet and full of love
    A gift from the Son

You came to us during our spiritual night
You came to us and gave us new sight

We’ll miss you very much, Ryan
Dry eyes we’ll not having in our crying

We’ll pray you stay within the Father’s touch
For we love you very much

    The message you must give
    So your people may live

The cross you wore with gladness
Memories of which will bring us sadness

Until we see you another day
As we follow the Father’s way

I hang this poem with his picture on our wall.

  • Day Off

Take out water soaked carpet out of our rental – plumbing problems
    Work on my Casa case
    Star Trek & MASH
Marriage Counseling Session for Kristina (daughter) & Brian

    Dear Father,

Thank you, Father, that I am not just a peddler of your word, but
that I am commissioned by you and that I speak in Christ.

Let everyone who comes to a knowledge of your will through what I
teach be a living letter of recommendation, written on that
person’s heart, to be known and read by everyone.

Let that person be a letter from Christ to the world, delivered by
me, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not
on tablets of stone, but on the tablets of the human heart.

In the name of Jesus I give thanks and make these requests. Amen.
    Paul
