  • Storm

We’re in a storm watch but it’s not doing anything outside.  I’m listening to Randy Stonehill’s song, “Who will save the children?”  The words, “Get them in” is replaying in my heart. I sense we have dark storm clouds on the horizon.  I’m not a doomsdayer but I also don’t put my head in the sand either.  I was wondering if anyone else has this sense that something bad is coming to America.

  • Thoughts

I was thinking this morning what I would feel like if I looked exactly like a famous person & that famous person wasn’t a good character.  Would others look at me differently?  Then my thoughts went to Jesus living in me.  I’m portraying my Savior to the world.  How do they see Jesus?

If we allow the world to influence our attitudes, we will think about ourselves first. But Paul urges us to think of ourselves in the context of the Body of Christ, remembering that we’re all part of the same Body and recognizing how much we need each other.

Jesus said, “You will know them by their love for one another.”

  • Sunday

Jesus was crucified on Friday, lay in the tomb on Saturday, resurrected on Sunday.
Spiritual Fridays are so very dark.  Spiritual Saturdays have no answers. Spiritual Sundays bring life.

You may be in a Friday or a Saturday, but rest assured Sunday is on the way.

  • Go Somewhere

Abraham learned that to receive his inheritance, he had to go to a specific place and take a specific action at a specific time. He discovered that living by faith involved not just lip service but concrete actions based on obedience. It didn’t matter what was going on in the world, what his friends were saying, or what made sense to him. He simply had to obey God and trust Him every step of the way.

I had lunch with our speaker on Wednesday.  He challenged me in the area of Children’s Ministry.  He taught: Pray, Praise and Seek.  We need to Ask God for a miracle, Praise God for the miracle and then go and seek the miracle.

  •            It’s how I feel today. -lol

  • Reagan

reagan  I’m enjoying reading the book about President Reagan.  One thing I find interesting is the contrast in his parents.  His dad was a drunk and his mom was a strong Christian.  Ronald became like his mom, his brother like his dad. Ronald decided early in life what direction he was going to go.  He had two clear choices and he decided the path his mom took.  I know all children have to make that decision and how sad when they don’t have a good choice to make.

    Shopping Remote

“Cash, check or charge?” I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.

As she fumbled for her wallet, I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse.

“So, do you always carry your TV remote?” I asked.

“No,” she replied, “but my husband refused to come shopping with me, and I figured this was the worst thing I could do to him legally.”

  • Sun

The sun’s power is so bright that it can blind those looking directly toward it. NASA warns that âobserving the sun can be dangerous if you do not take the proper precautions. This danger is particularly acute during solar eclipses, but the warning applies at all times.

Thinking about the sun can help us understand the nature of God, for He dwells in unapproachable light. This is blinding power, staggering in intensity, overwhelming in purity. There is nothing dark about Him. There is absolute clarity and illumination around everything He does.

When we worship God and come into His Presence, we need to remember this pure and holy Light. We cannot help but humbly surrender our lives to Him and let His Light penetrate our hearts and minds.

Because of this intense purity, Paul charged Timothy to keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.   He knew that our relationship with God must be the basis of our lives and our conduct. God is the Creator, and we owe everything to Him! He has a plan for the universe and for each of us as individuals. He is sovereign over every nation, person, and power on earth. He is beyond time and has no limits. And He always will be the same (Hebrews 13:8)!

  • Weekend

Kim and I had a great weekend getway.  It doesn’t happen too often so we cherish it when we can.

I’m excited about Randy Stonehill coming to church today and tonight.  When I was first saved he was a big time Christian musician.  It takes me back to my 1st love.

I’m reading a book called, “Reagan”.  I love it.  Those were the days.  I had to laugh at one part.  President Reagan was asking George Bush how he felt about Roe Vr Wade, to which Bush replied, “I think it was the best decision President George Washington ever made as he crossed the Potamic.” -lol

I had a dream last night of President Obama offering to give me money and I turned it down.  What’s the interpetation? – lol

  • Gifting

David knew that to be successful, he had to fight with his own weapons. He could not use weapons prepared for someone else.

He turned to a sling that was tested, a weapon in which he was confident. Then he chose five stones that fit his requirements, and he was ready to confront the enemy. As David fought with weapons that were right for him, the Lord enabled him to achieve a great victory.

If we want to be successful in our battles, we need to follow David’s model. We must remember that we’re all unique, with special gifts and talents. God has prepared each of us in unique ways, and we serve unique positions in the Body of Christ.

    What is your gifting?

  • Happy Last Day of Winter.   It’s my day off today.  I’m going to do some spring clean up.  We can put stuff on our curbs.

Do you have a “City Wide Cleanup” day? (Put stuff out on the curb)
