  • ITT

I enjoyed the docking of the shuttle with ITT.  Before the shuttle crew came out of the hatch, the ITT crew had some fun: walking on the ceiling, swinging back and forth on the ceiling and summersaults.  I'll miss Sandy Magnus when she leaves with Discovery. She has a child like personality and loved to take pictures of the earth.

  • Today

Austin gets his front tooth fixed today.  He chipped it by getting too close to someone playing Ping Pong.

  • Interactive TV

Go to fullsize imageLast nights launch was incredieble.  It blasted off into the sunset.  Another thing I loved about it was the interaction.  I watched a site that had the, "Real Time" launch.  The site that had a chat site.  The commentators watched the chat site and commented on questions that were asked.  People from all over the world was on the site.  As the shuttle crossed the United Kingdom, some people from the UK watched it cross their skies and reported on that.  It made me wonder what TV would be like in a few years.

Would you like to have interactive TV?

When we took the wall paper off the wall we found that a window had been here before.  We live in a old house.  It was moved from a different location.  It's always interesting what we find.  A couple years ago we found a lot of really old toys.  We returned the toys to the original owner.  She was in a nursering home and was so happy to get the items.  She was called "The Neighbor Lady" on WNAX.  She did a radio program everyday from the living room. (At the house we presently live at.)

  • Discovery

It was a great site seeing Discovery blast off into the sunset. - wow.  I still cringe until it gets past the time when Challenger blew up.

  • Weekend

I'm reading a book that looks through the eyes of an angel as he visits earth.  In one scene he is shocked at how humans can sin, while reflecting on what happens in heaven.  It made me think of how much more I have to consider heaven in my every day life.
We had a great time in Mitchell.  The speaker was a lawyer.  He spoke of workplace ministry.  Austin got to go with a few men in order to shoot clay pigeons.  He loved that.

I put Randy Stonehill at the top of my music list because he's coming to my church next week.  I'm sooooo excited.

  • Did you Know?

    Plans for the day:
    1. Get all my work done at the office by lunch
    2. Take Noah out to lunch
    3. Austin & Ricky & myself will go to Mitchell, SD for a Men's outing.

But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase."

  • Do you consider yourself lucky or unlucky in general? What are some examples of your (un)luckiness?

I don't use the word, "luck" very much, if at all.  I like to live with purpose and blessed.

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

  • Anniversary

Today is Romeo & Juliet's 707th anniversary.  They married March 11, 1302 according to Shakespeare.

Discovery may blast off on the 15th.

  • Credibility

Go to fullsize imageThen Queen Esther replied, If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me as my petition, and my people as my request.

Queen Vashti had defied King Ahasuerus. When he asked her to show off her beauty at a banquet, she wouldnt cooperate. He became incensed and removed her as queen, determined to set an example.

Through miraculous circumstances, Esther became the new queen. She knew what had happened to Vashti and seemed keenly aware of her limits. When Haman, the kings advisor, sought to eliminate the Jews, her uncle, Mordecai, urged Esther to use her position to save them.

But Esther was reluctant. She had not been summoned to the king for thirty days, and she knew the consequences of displeasing him.

Finally, after much prayer, Esther decided to act in faith and approach the king. As a result of her efforts, the Jews were able to defend themselves, Haman was eliminated, and Mordecai was elevated to a position of prominence. Instead of defeat, they celebrated victory

This courageous act would have been impossible if Esther had not gained credibility with the king. Just imagine: She made an accusation against the second most powerful man in the kingdom. But Ahasuerus chose to believe her Esther had proved herself to be trustworthy, a person of integrity.

Esthers testimony demonstrates why our character and reputation are so important. People are watching us and evaluating how we live. Thats why its crucial to obey Gods Word and show ourselves to be faithful, honest, trustworthy, and people of integrity.
