  • Koran Burning

The church that is planning on burning the Koran is stirring up a lot of hatred.  Although I wouldn't be a part of this, I think the hatred on the part of Islam is being overlooked.  If it was reversed and the Bible was being burned, would Islamic leaders tell the people that burning a Bible would lead to Christian killing Muslims?  Of course not, because true Christianity isn't violent.

    Your Thoughts?

  • I Choose to See

I finished the book, "I Choose to See" by Mary Beth Chapman.  The Chapmans went through and are going through a tough time with the sudden loss of their adopted Chinese daughter Marie.  It's a great book on how to deal with pain.  This family has choosen to go straight into the pain.

  • Twitter

I love following people on twitter. Besides all the friends and people I know I keep up with what's happening in the Navy - USS George Washington just pulled into Manilla yesterday. I keep up with NASA - not much happening there lately. I keep up with Christian musicians: Mark of Casting Crowns loves to go horseback riding with his kids. Steven Curtis Chapman family - oldest daughter and husband heading to Ireland. Dog the Bounty hunter just had a new grandchild as of yesterday.

I love to get encouragement by Christian's on twitter.  -a lot of verses.

My favorite twitter is Shelia Walsh.  She's always doing something and traveling somewhere.

Do you twitter?  Who do you follow?

  • Life Light

Kim & I went to Life Light for a few hours yesterday.  It was great.  I'm planning on taking the boys again today.  There are so many people.  Imagine this:  Worthing SD is probally a population of maybe 100.  Just outside Worthing is the Peterson farm of 500 acres.  Evelen donated the farm to Life Light.  (Duane had gone to be with Jesus a few years ago).  There were 100's of thousands of people at the Christian Music festible all going through the small town of Worthing.   Incredible

  • GPS Device

I use my TomTom a lot.  It gets me where I want to go, but it's not very encouraging.  I mean, when I make a mistake it tells me to turn around.  When I make the correct turn it says nothing.  I think it should say, Good job Randy you made the correct turn or you're on the right path, keep up the good work.  Thanks to Jesus we have an inner GPS device that directs us.  We get that little unction to turn around or peace that we're on the right road.

Is your inner GPS system working correctly?

  • School

I helped out in Kindergarten class yesterday. I plan on doing that once a week.  I had fun.  Being around children help me keep my perspective on life.
