  • Dark Character Portrait

Two seeds lay dormant in the dark recesses of her mind.
One unto life; one unto death.
The dark seed growing with tentacles into the network of living.
Masquerading as "truth".  Producing deceptive fruit.

The life seed wisely remains still, quiet.
Love will awaken this seed at the right time.

She struggles with her emotions.  She battles wanting connection but getting war.  Her desires are left unmet.  Moments of victory are swept away in the next step, temporarily or forever gone, depending upon the light she allows in her heart.  The light attempts to shine, to show love, to grow the seed, to produce life. Yet she throws the switch off, doing it her way.  "Her way", the dark seed whispers with an evil grin. Tentacles reaching the switch.   "I'm a victim", the dark seed's name.  The tentacles transform into a jail cell.  The dark seed name's whisper beomes a shout.  Tears flow in belief of the shout.  "No one cares for me" is a friend to the dark seed. Love knocks at the door.  Will she open & allow the light to shine into her death chamber?

  • Heavenly Pictures

I'm sure Father God has a photo album of His children.  I have to believe He would of taken some pictures and video of yesterday.  Kim & I took, Cody, our grandson, grocery shopping with us.  He got in his "car" grocery cart (Thank you HyVee) and was content for a whole 2 minutes.  Then he had to walk.  As long as we were putting items into his hands he was happy. Oh, he had to squeeze and shake everything and once he was finished doing that he would put it in the cart.  He was so funny because he found a poster at his eye level of a lady.  He laughed at it.  I'm sure he's never seen anything at his eye level, especially a happy lady eating food.   Then we had to do Cody's normal routine: get a free HyVee balloon.  Cody shook in anticipation of his balloon.

  • Remember Me

I'm always amazed at how many times I have to click the button, "remember me".  I want the computer to remember my password and many times it does not.  I'm reminded that there is One that I don't have to remind Him to remember me.  Jesus just does.

  • Name that Picture

The Race Is On! by ' Toshio '
    Ever Feel like that?

What would you put under the picutre?

  • Pollywog

There is an initiation in the Navy when crossing the equator.  Before you cross you're a pollywog. After you go through the initiation you are a shellback.  It's a wild day.  Obstacle courses are set up for the pollywogs to go through.  My shellback who took me through it put a collar around my neck and had me go on all fours all day.  We had to roll around in garbage, get hit by streams of water, blow water out of holes and all kinds of things like that.

  • Happy Feet

Cody (18 month old grandson) loves to play, "happy feet".  No matter where we're at if we say, "happy feet" Cody will start dancing. It's so cute to see him move his little feet back and forth with a big smile on his face.  Sometimes he'll even do happy feet when no one asks him and then he'll applaud for himself.  Maybe we all should do a little bit of happy feet.

  • Cody

Cody our grandson just doesn't gain any weight - well until this past week.  He's been going in for test since he was born.  This last week a Specialist tested him for allergies.  He is allergic to dogs and eggs.  Both those were taken away from him and now Cody is hungry and gaining weight.

  • Reality Shows

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, 19 Kids and Counting.  This show makes me wonder if I could have a camera in my house to video tape what we do as a family.  What would be the camera's message?  Would the audience be enriched, challenged or disappointed?  I suspect in our family the audience would get some of each.  I'm going to do an experiment with myself.  I'm going to pretend we are being video taped and see how my action would change or not change.

What do you think would change if your family was in a reality show?
