  • Personalities

There are just some personalities that drive me crazy.  Since I’m an introvert, extrovert’s can challenge me.  I think of General Eisenhower, self proclaimed introvert and General Patten. Patten didn’t have to self proclaim anything, he was “out there”.  Eisenhower was appalled at the behavior of Patten, but he worked with him.  I was thinking about that today. I have a choice to make when it comes to personalities that challenge me.
    1.  I can be offended and resistant.
    2.  I can allow iron to sharpen iron and accept that person, while advancing.

#2 is the best way to go.   (I don't like those that are shilly-shally.)

What personality type do you like the best?

  • boysmomdad018 My Dad is holding me and my mom is holding my brother.  My Dad died when I was 10 and not too many days go by that I don't think of him.  I suspect if he was alive today, he'd be working in a gas station as a mechanic.  I remember the 1st Christmas we spent without him. (He died in Oct).  Surprisingly I have very warm feelings of that Christmas season because my Mom was determined to make it a great time.  May this Christmas season be a season of family warmth.

What do you do to make the Christmas season special to those around you?

  • Dream

In an average life time we spend over six years dreaming.  Scientist may be close to recording dreams.

Would you like a dream recording machine, that you can actually see what you dream?

  • Kindle

I've been enjoying my Kindle.  It would probally be hard to read a regular book now.  I like being able to look up words and link to twitter/facebook to a portion of the book I like.

    Do you have a Kindle?

  • Dream?

I was looking at a web site that helped people get to their dream.  http://www.dreamyear.net/  It made me think.  I have a dream and you have a dream.  Do we want to sacrifice to see the dream come to fruition?

If you had a personal trainer to help you develop your dream - Would you?

  • Jail Visit

This happened several years ago and his name changed in this account.
James was a quiet teenager. He was very normal and blended into the youth group. I knew of him but didn't know him until I visited him in jail. We sat in a room at the jail as James gave me his story. He told me that God had given him many warnings that he was going down the wrong path. "I didn't listen as I continued to have dreams," James told me. He wouldn't look me in the eye but talked to the floor in his matter of fact way. I couldn't get over the fact that James was an average teen. James was transferred from that jail to a state prison. I visited the 20 year old James there. He told me about his wife and child. I listened to him as he began to tell me about his prison world. I went back to visit him when his wife and child were also there. My heart broke as I watched him raise his family in prison. James is still in prison as he committed vehicular homicide.
