  • Goat Eyes

Last night I listened to a speaker talk about his time in Africa.  He told a story that after he spoke to a group of people, some ladies paid him with a live goat. They then made it into goat stew.  The many people had to share one spoon that was passed around the entire group, each person taking their turn.  After the stew was gone a lady handed the speaker a bowl with goat eyes in it.  Both were uncooked.  He was expected to eat the eyes to which he didn’t disappoint his audience.

What is the most gross thing you’ve eaten?
Would you eat something gross in order not to offend the people you’re around?

  • Cody

Grandson Cody is having surgery today to repair small intestine.
The surgery was postponed until today.  Hopefully this takes care of all the problems he’s had.  Cody is 2 and he’s been in the hospital a lot.  He has a feeding tube because his body won’t grow.

  • Marriage

When I think of marriage, I’m amazed.  It is a mystery how a man and woman can come together and become one.  My wife is my best friend.  There has never been a time in my life that I didn’t want to come home and be with her. We have our disagreements but we are united.  We hurt each other at times but we heal together and become more united. There is a secret place in marriage that I strive to go to. It’s a place only God ordained marriages can enjoy.  No government, no man could ever taint what God intented as marriage.  A Godly marriage between a man and woman is an example of Christ and the church.

  • Kid’s Camp

Kid’s Camp was so fun.  It did rain a few days and much mud was produced.  The kids loved it. They rolled in it. They wore it.  The flung it.  They played in it.  Fun

  • Summertime Fun

We’re headed out of town for the weekend.  Our first destination was Omaho, but the Interstate is closed in several places because of the flooding.  This will be an animal weekend for us.  Today we’re planning on going to the Penquins movie and tomorrow the zoo.  It’ll be great.  (I post pics to my facebook)

What activities do you like to do in the summer?

  • Facebook

I had a family reunion this past Sunday.  It was great.  I saw a lot of family that I hadn’t seen in a long time.  What made it better this year was facebook.  I don’t directly post on facebook and I rarely comment on facebook but I have my other sites connected to facebook.  Well several of my distant family members apparently read my facebook.  Those that normally wouldn’t go beyond a “hi” came up to me and started a conversation by what they read on my facebook site.  It was like the walls fell down.

Do you find the social networks help you in everyday life?

    Word of the Day: Raffish
I tolerate raffish people, but I prefer to be around those that are respectful.

It’s an awesome display of nature.  The sound of the water release at Gavin’s Point dam is loud. The river looks so angry.  Niagara Falls falls at 110,000; Gavins Point – 150,000.

  • Controversal

I was reading a few blogs this morning that were controversal. I was going to comment then decided not to because I wasn’t in the mood.
Do you like controversal topics or do you stay away from them?

  • Camp

Camp was a lot of fun.  Here is Kalli on the zip line.  She shocked us when she decided to twirl upside down while going across and also while coming back. I have more pictures: Facebook
