I'm reading a book about President Lincoln and the decisions he made. Mcclellan was a Union General. He gave Lincoln a difficult time and disagreed with him on many occasions. On one particular event, during a war meeting Mcclellan told President Lincoln that his plan had to stay secret. The General refused to tell the President anything but right after the meeting went straight to the reporters and revealed his entire plan. President Lincoln was able to work with Mcclellan and in doing so gained the respect of many others.
Word of the Day: pontificate
President Lincoln was not a pontificate.
