I have an opportunity to make a little extra money taking care of 20 checking accounts.  I already take care of 5 people’s checking accounts and I love it.  I remember as a boy making caculations of math as I rode my bike back and forth on the road.  When I travel I always caculate math problems in my mind.  -speed of vehicle with miles.  I calculate to the second when we get at a certain place.  Years back I had a friend that loved math as well.  We would talk over math problems for hours.  I think the reason I love math so much is because it remains the same.  It amazes me when I look at math in a water molecule.  The Hydrogen molecules are always at a 45 degree angle to the one oxygen molecule.  

 

What subject is your favorite?

Every spring a bird lays her eggs in a nest outside our upstairs window.  We watch the birds in the nest.  I was surprised this year how early the eggs were laid.  The baby birds are now close to flying out of the nest.  I would say compared to other years the nest is at least a month ahead of time. 

Did you have an early spring?

 I like what I do. Well most of it. Since we adopt and foster children out of neglect and abuse we have a whole set of challenges because of that. My teenage adopted son continually gets himself in trouble, so you can say prayers for him. We have the slogan at work, “We can’t stay here”. -meaning we must continually get better. Besides working in the lives of children I also manage “benevolence”. We help people with food, furniture and funds – as needed. It gets tough not coping an attitude with people that “use the system”.

The Secret Service is under suspision.  The GSA has a bad repuation for arrogantly spending the tax payers money. 

Do these employees reflect leadership?

Ann Romney was critizied for being a house wife this past week by a CNN reporter.  I’m proud to say that my wife has been able to be a stay at home mom for all my children.  I believe my children are more secure and emotionally healthy.  I salute all stay at home moms. 

What do you do (job wise)?  Do you like it?

I just finished a book called, “The Eighth Sea by Nancy Spowell Geise.  It was great.  I love book that have to do with history, ships and relationships.  Put all three together and I really love it. 

What types of books do you like reading? 

I talked to a guy a few weeks ago who told me he lived in Grand Junctions, Colorado.  He told me that Grand Junctions has no natural disasters.  No tornados, no blizzards, no etc.  I was surprised.  I thought of that when I read the news this morning about the earth quakes that are now causing Tsunami warnings in Indonesia.

What natural disasters happen in your area?

We had a great Easter.  The weather was perfect.  The kids had a lot of fun. 

What’s your favorite color of Jelly Bean?

When I was in the Navy, Hollywood wanted real sailors to be in the mini series, “Winds of War”.  I was fortunate to be chosen to be in the TV series, Pearl Harbor scene.  It was an eyeopener for a couple of different reasons. 1.  I saw the behind the scenes movie action.  It was so exciting when the bombs went off and people flew in the air.  The Japanese planes were so real.   (It was great seeing the movie stars)
2.  We were all put in different uniforms from the WW2 era.  Although we were all enlisted, some of us were given officer uniforms. I watched those that had officer’s uniforms change into authority personalities.
