  • Disaster

I talked to a guy a few weeks ago who told me he lived in Grand Junctions, Colorado.  He told me that Grand Junctions has no natural disasters.  No tornados, no blizzards, no etc.  I was surprised.  I thought of that when I read the news this morning about the earth quakes that are now causing Tsunami warnings in Indonesia.

What natural disasters happen in your area?

  • Self Importance

When I was in the Navy, Hollywood wanted real sailors to be in the mini series, “Winds of War”.  I was fortunate to be chosen to be in the TV series, Pearl Harbor scene.  It was an eyeopener for a couple of different reasons. 1.  I saw the behind the scenes movie action.  It was so exciting when the bombs went off and people flew in the air.  The Japanese planes were so real.   (It was great seeing the movie stars)
    2.  We were all put in different uniforms from the WW2 era.  Although we were all enlisted, some of us were given officer uniforms. I watched those that had officer’s uniforms change into authority personalities.

I remembered the previous story when I read:
Lab coats make you feel smarter.

What uniform would you like to wear and does clothes make you feel different and more important/less important?

  • April Fools

Romney Falls for April Fools’ Joke

MILWAUKEE–It’s easy to forget what day it is on the campaign trail. Even April Fools’ Day.

Before speaking to voters at a pancake breakfast here, GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney waited behind a black curtain as Rep. Paul Ryan and Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson stepped out to introduce him.

“My staff says to me…we didn’t get much of a turnout this morning, it’s really small, but it will be okay, it will be okay. And so I hear Paul Ryan goes out…he’s down there, ‘And so now, let’s welcome Ron Johnson, and Mitt Romney, the next president of the United States,’” Mr. Romney said Sunday.

Messrs. Ryan and Johnson, with the help of Romney staff members, lured the candidate into a ballroom all set up for a campaign rally. The draping was hanging. The sound system was on. But there were no voters.

Instead, Mr. Romney, his face turning pink, was met by a handful of staffers using their cell phones to record the moment.

“It’s completely empty. There’s nobody there. I thought, oh boy, this is gonna look really bad on the evening news, let me tell you,” Mr. Romney said later.

Family members say the candidate is a prankster as well, and he hinted he’s plotting some revenge. “You guys – this is known as forgive but remember,” he joked.

As he later gave a gracious, and relieved, welcome to the crowd that gathered for his actual event, Mr. Romney said:

“Thank heavens we’ve got some people in the room this morning. I appreciate it!”

  • War

Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday that two things could bring the Obama presidency to an end in November:
    Possible war in Iran
    a Eurozone collapse (European economy)

Do you agree with Joe Biden?

  • Famous

Pretend that you just went viral.  Everyone wants to come to your site and hear what you have to say.  They want to know everything about you.  You have speaking engagements coming in from all directions. You have interviews and TV spots.

What would you want the world to know about you and what would you be famous for?

  • Messing with People

Here are some ways you can mess with people:

Hire two private investagtors and have them follow each other
Go into a crowded elevator and say, “I bet you’re all wondering why I gathered you here,” with a straight face.
Make vanilla pudding. Put in a mayo jar. Eat in public.
Run in a store, ask what year it is. When someone answers, yell, “It worked!” and run out cheering.
When someone tells a bad joke, grap your heart. When asked what’s wrong, say, “Bad Joke Attack”.|
To a co-worker: Take a print screen of their desktop and save it as their new desktop. Then hide all their icons in a folder.  They will be left with only a picture of their icons.
Go into a store and ask the cashier if this store takes cash.
Here’s one a friend of mine did at a fast food place.  “I’d like a chicken sandwich.” “Sorry, we’re all out of chicken sandwiches.” After looking at the menu board for a few minutes, she said, “OK then, ummmmm  I’d like the chicken sandwich.”

How have you messed with people or how would you like to mess with people?
