| I gave a thought of the day to a group of people last Tuesday. If 86,400 dollars was deposted in an account each day, what would you do with it? The money had to be spent that day. Any left over would be gone. Each day we get 86,400 seconds. A few hours after that I was called to the hospital. A very close friend of mine was dying. I spent several hours at the hospital as he was close to the end. I sat in silence. I listened as people sang songs he loved. I soaked in bible verses that loved ones were reading. I remembered with his family the different stories he created. I didn't want to leave as I knew I would never experience time like this ever again.

| I'm reading a book that shows the inner working of the human brain. Some things I found interesting:
Touch: By seventeen weeks (in the womb), the infant can feel touch all over the body
except for the back and top of the head, which have feeling by twenty weeks. At just
two months the fetus will kick and jerk if poked, and by the fourth month will make
facial expressions such as frowning, squinting, or grimacing.
An electrician delegated the task of wiring up a circuit as
complex as that of the human brain and capable of soldering
connections at a rate of one per second would take over thirty
million years to complete the job.
I'm fascinated at how we're wonderfully made.

| When I reported on the USS Kitty Hawk in the 1979. I heard stories of racism problems that happened several year previous. I recently found a book that detailed the entire story. I read the book. I was shocked at what happened on board aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk several years before I got there. One night in October 1973 a group of African Americans rampaged the ship. They went throughout the ship destroying and hurting as many people as they could. It went on for several hours. The ship's leadership did not attempt to stop it for fear of making it worse. There was not a rise up of the 1000's of majority sailers against this minority group. The leadership used words to try and talk the leaders down -thus the reason it went on for so long. Years later one of the leaders of the mob riot said that it wasn't about race that fueled his rage. He admitted he was suffering grief from his childhood. Even though there were trials after the incident, no one was convicted. There was no justice. |

| My Grandson, Cody is 3 years old. He has is own I-Pad and knows how to work it really well. He knicknamed it his "beenie". (Not sure where that came from) He lets us know when it needs to be plugged in. My wife babysits him throughout the week. Last week he got upset because he wanted to watch a certain kids program. He was convinced he could get it immediately like he could at home. He didn't understand that we have cable and couldn't get a certain program at anytime. That caused me to ask this question:
What will technolgy looks like a few years? Will everything be immediate?
