Wow, it was really cool to hear from you on my site.   Did I leave you a previous comment, or do we belong to one of the same blobrings? What a surprise!

We are doing pretty good.   We live in Ellendale.   We were both students, but unfortunately, after I was sick in the hospital for a week, we had to withdrawal from school.   We missed too many days and were way behind.   When classes started Maliyah was only 4 weeks old, and I was juggling school full-time, mother hood and being a wife.   With all of those responsibilities, I was already somewhat behind in school, so I thought it would be in my best interest to just take the rest of the semester off and focus on taking care of my baby girl.

Derek missed several classes too because he wanted to be at my side the whole time I was in the hospital.   He felt behind too and decided to quit as well.   We are just kind of hanging out and seeking direction on what to do next.   We have a baby now, so we can’t just jump up and move spontaneously.   We have to provide stability for her.   There aren’t many jobs in Ellendale.   We applied for a few in Aberdeen, but it’s pointless because right now we don’t have a running vehicle.   Please pray that God will give us direction and open doors for us.

We miss you guys too.   I think of my “Yankton family” often.   I did not know you guys were adopting a baby girl too-how exciting is that? You guys are so awesome.   I would love to be able to adopt children someday.

While on the topic of children, our little one is  3 months now.   Her name is Maliyah Kae.   She was weighed yesterday and already weighs 13 pounds and 15 ounces.   She’s definately not starving, lol.   She weighed 8 pounds and 5 oz when she was born.   Guess she is taking after her dad in that area .   Well, we will definately be in touch! Hopefully we can visit Yankton soon.   It’s funny because no one in our biological family has seen the baby yet.   We haven’t been able to travel any further south than Aberdeen .   God bless and you have a wonderful day!
